Averaging 12 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2–3 steals per game, Sam has already proven he belongs among Maryland’s rising young guards. His floor vision and decision-making have taken a major leap, allowing him to read defenses and dictate tempo like a seasoned point guard. He thrives in transition, sees passing lanes before they form, and can break down defenders with crafty footwork and burst. On defense, his motor never stops quick feet, active hands, and a competitive edge that makes life miserable for opposing guards.

This past AAU season with Olney Elite (Puma Circuit), Sam used every opportunity to elevate his name. Facing older competition only fueled his hunger, pushing him to refine his shot consistency and build strength for finishing through contact.
