Some players impact games with speed while others rely on skill, but Corey combines power, versatility, and production into one difficult package that makes him one of the most intriguing players in his class. Every time he steps on the floor, opposing defenses are forced into impossible choices because he can overpower defenders inside, stretch the floor with his shooting, or make the extra pass when help arrives. There simply are not many easy answers when Corey is locked in.

Corey describes himself first and foremost as a scorer, but that only scratches the surface of what he brings to the game. His combination of length and strength allows him to create problems in multiple ways. He can punish defenders on the block, step outside and rain in shots from deep, or use his feel for the game to create opportunities for teammates. His ability to impact the game from so many different areas makes him a matchup nightmare because defenders rarely see the same thing twice.

This past season was one Corey will never forget. He helped lead North Laurel to a remarkable 29-8 record, a perfect 10-0 district mark, and a memorable run all the way to Rupp Arena. Along the way, he averaged 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal per game while shooting a jaw-dropping 85 percent from the field. Those numbers tell part of the story, but the memories created with teammates and the excitement of making a deep postseason run are what stand out most to him. The journey was special, and the experience only fueled his hunger for more.

Since the high school season ended, Corey has taken his production to another level. Against strong competition, he has averaged 26.5 points and 7 rebounds per game, showing a much more complete and confident offensive package. The biggest difference has been his confidence. Hours spent sharpening his shooting touch and expanding his offensive arsenal have started translating directly into games. When opportunities appear, he attacks them without hesitation. The result has been a player who looks more comfortable, more aggressive, and more dangerous every time he steps on the floor.

His growth as a player has not happened by accident. Over the last year, Corey has improved his ball handling, footwork, and overall offensive versatility. What was once a player who relied heavily on certain strengths has evolved into someone capable of scoring from all three levels. Whether it is powering through contact, hitting outside shots, or creating off the bounce, his offensive game continues expanding. That development has continued throughout the AAU season with Midwest 3SSB, where he has embraced the opportunity to compete with talented teammates while facing some of the best competition in the country. While individual improvement remains important, winning remains the primary goal. After helping bring home a 3SSB championship, Corey has his sights set on doing it all over again and proving last year's success was no accident.

While many people only see the games, they rarely see the early mornings and late nights. Corey spends countless hours in the gym, often shooting multiple times a day while constantly working to elevate every aspect of his game. Every workout has a purpose, every rep has meaning, and every shot is another step toward becoming the player he wants to be. The commitment to his craft continues driving him forward, and that dedication is one of the biggest reasons his game continues to rise.

The scary part is that Corey believes his best basketball is still ahead of him, and as he prepares for another season, he wants coaches to know exactly what they are getting. They are getting a winner, a player who impacts games in multiple ways, embraces competition, loves being part of successful teams, and understands what it takes to contribute to winning basketball. Fans can expect a talented, exciting player who plays with confidence and continues finding new ways to make his presence felt. North Laurel has already experienced one memorable run. If Corey continues on his current path, there is every reason to believe another special chapter could be waiting just around the corner.

I assess that Corey is a versatile scoring forward whose combination of strength, length, skill, and efficiency makes him a difficult matchup for opponents. His ability to score inside, stretch defenses from the perimeter, rebound, protect the rim, and facilitate gives him tremendous value on both ends of the floor. The biggest development may be his expanded offensive game, particularly his improved ball-handling, footwork, and three-level scoring.
