Gaige has become the type of player that creates headaches for opponents with his length, versatility, and ability to impact every area of the game. That makes him one of the most difficult matchups on the court. Offensively, he can score from all three levels, stretch defenses with his outside shooting, attack off the bounce, and finish around the basket with efficiency. Defensively, he creates problems with his ability to alter shots, protect the paint, switch onto perimeter players, and track down rebounds that most players never reach. What makes Gaige so dangerous is not just one skill. It is the way he impacts possessions from start to finish and consistently finds ways to create advantages for his team on both ends of the floor.

His sophomore season was filled with production, consistency, and winning. Gaige averaged 15.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting a blistering 63 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range. His performance helped lead Burlington to a tremendous season that ended with a 3A State Runner-Up finish. Along the way, he earned First Team Pioneer League honors, First Team All-State recognition from Sports In Kansas and the Wichita Eagle, along with Second Team All-State honors from KSHSAA and KBCA. Those accomplishments set the stage for an even bigger postseason run where Gaige elevated his game once again.

When the lights got brighter, so did his production. Gaige helped lead Burlington all the way to a second-place finish at the 3A State Tournament while averaging 17.3 points, 8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game on an eye-popping 64 percent shooting from the floor. What made the run special was not just the wins, but the journey. Burlington spent the entire season hearing doubts while continuing to believe in each other. The team trusted strong chemistry, countless hours of work, and a community that supported them every step of the way. Through every challenge, Gaige remained a steady force, bringing effort, consistency, and a team-first approach that helped put Burlington in position to compete for a state championship.

That momentum has carried directly into an outstanding AAU season with SSA Elite. Gaige is averaging around 20 points and 10 rebounds per game while producing multiple huge weekends, including a stretch where he averaged 25.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. The confidence level is at an all-time high, and it shows every time he steps on the floor. Knowing his coaches and teammates trust him to make the right play has allowed him to play aggressively and confidently. He understood his team needed him to become more of an attacker, and he embraced that responsibility. At the same time, he committed himself to speeding up his game and becoming a more complete player. The results have been impossible to miss.

One of the biggest reasons for that success is his ability to score in so many different ways. Gaige takes pride in being a multi-level scoring threat. He studies defenses, reads matchups, and makes adjustments throughout games. If defenders play too close, he can attack. If they give him space, he can make them pay from beyond the arc. If help defenders rotate, he is capable of making the right pass. His efficiency is not accidental. It comes from understanding how to attack what the defense gives him and consistently making smart decisions.

The biggest improvement in his game over the past year has been his ball-handling and ability to play at a faster pace. Those improvements have opened up new opportunities both for himself and his teammates. Combined with improved shooting, he has become even more difficult to contain. Defenders are forced to respect multiple options every time he touches the ball, which allows him to create scoring chances while also opening opportunities for others.

While many athletes rely on natural athletic gifts, Gaige understands that much of his success has come through hard work. He openly admits that while height may have been a blessing, every basketball skill he possesses has been earned through countless hours of work. That mindset has shaped who he is as a player. Rather than expecting success to come naturally, he attacks improvement with determination and discipline. Great coaching has certainly helped, but his personal commitment to growth has been the driving force behind his development.

Looking ahead, Gaige's goals remain focused on growth. He wants to continue building strength and speed while competing against the highest level of competition possible with SSA Elite. He believes those experiences will help prepare him for another deep postseason run with Burlington. As for college coaches, he hopes they see much more than statistics. He wants them to see a player who is willing to do whatever the team needs to win. Whether that means scoring, rebounding, defending, passing, or creating opportunities for teammates, he embraces every responsibility. He takes pride in being coachable, having a high basketball IQ, and constantly looking for ways to improve. Most importantly, he believes there is still plenty of untapped potential left to discover.

What coaches can expect every single time Gaige steps on the floor is consistency, effort, and reliability. They can expect a player who competes, produces, and leads by example. They can expect someone who values winning over personal recognition and understands the importance of doing the little things. Fans can expect the same relentless approach as he continues chasing bigger goals while representing Burlington with pride and helping position his team for another special season.

I assess that Gaige is a versatile difference-maker whose ability to impact the game from multiple areas makes him incredibly valuable. His combination of length, efficiency, scoring ability, rebounding, defensive intensity, and basketball IQ allows him to affect winning in countless ways. The fact that he can stretch the floor, attack off the bounce, protect the rim, and consistently produce on both ends makes him a matchup problem for almost any opponent.

Gaige's game continues to rise because of his willingness to work, improve, and embrace whatever role his team needs. His production at both the high school and AAU levels proves he can perform against good competition while maintaining efficiency. The improvements in his pace, ball-handling, and perimeter game have expanded his offensive arsenal, while his rebounding and defensive versatility continue to separate him from many players his age. With his team-first mentality, high motor, and continued physical development, Gaige possesses the tools to make a huge impact at the next level while continuing to raise his ceiling as a player.
