Joshua is a dynamic two-way weapon who can slide into multiple positions, disrupt everything defensively, and then turn around and go get a bucket or create one for somebody else without breaking rhythm. His game carries a smooth but controlled pace, never rushed, never out of sync, and when he gets downhill or into his spots, it’s smooth and tough to stop. Whether it’s raining shots from the perimeter, getting to that middy game, or finishing strong at the rim, Joshua plays with a confidence that keeps defenders guessing and on edge every possession.
What really makes him stand out is how he brings that same energy on the defensive side, taking pride in making his matchup uncomfortable with relentless intensity and applying fierce pressure. He can switch, guard multiple spots, and stay engaged, which gives his team flexibility and edge, especially against bigger or more experienced competition.
That production shows the impact of his production with the stat sheet stuffer. During last school season, Joshua averaged 20+ points, 12+ rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals per game at the 7th grade level, followed by 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game at the 8th grade level, while also stepping up to Freshman with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per, and contributing at the JV level with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. That kind of production, checking every box, is more than talent; it shows adaptability, toughness, and a willingness to compete against older players without backing down.
His résumé backs it up as well with a 2025 Jr. King of the Bluegrass Championship, a 25-26 KBC State Runner-up finish while playing up, a Final Four run in the Louisville Invitational Tournament, and 3 AAU World Championships with Hoosier Phenoms. Every stop has added another layer, another test, and another opportunity to prove himself.
The growth has been focused and determined. Joshua made it a priority to elevate his on-ball defense, and that edge is showing, turning him into a player who doesn’t just score but changes possessions. Offensively, he continues to build out his bag, getting more comfortable in size-up situations and attacking downhill with purpose, while working to finish strong with both hands and improve his conditioning and agility so he can sustain that impact from start to finish.
There’s a fire to how he plays that you can feel. He feeds off momentum plays, whether it’s an and-1, a tough defensive stop that makes someone hesitate to bring the ball up, or creating space into a mid-range shot and hitting it when it matters. Those moments don’t just happen, he creates them, and once he gets going, it can shift the entire feel of a game.
On the AAU circuit with Kentucky Ambition ‘29 and Hoosier Phenoms ‘31, that same versatility and production continue to show, as he embraces the challenge of high-level competition and keeps stacking performances against strong talent. Playing up, adjusting to different roles, and still producing has only added to his growth, showing that his game travels and holds up no matter the environment.
Joshua Anthony is still early in his story, but the foundation is already built on versatility, effort, and a mindset that refuses to settle. No Plan B isn’t just a name, it’s how he approaches the game, how he prepares, and how he competes every time he steps on the floor.
I assess that Joshua brings a combination of versatility and two-way impact, with the ability to defend multiple positions while also creating offense through scoring and playmaking. His feel for the game, combined with his defensive mindset and ability to handle pressure, makes him a valuable piece who can influence the game in different ways.
Joshua is moving forward as a high-upside player whose game continues to expand with each level of competition, showing the ability to adapt, compete, and produce against older talent. As he continues to develop physically and tighten his finishing and overall consistency, his impact will continue to grow, positioning him as a player with long-term potential to make a strong impact at higher levels. Keep a close eye on this rising star. His best basketball is still ahead.
