Drew is quickly turning heads as one of the most complete and dangerous guards in New Mexico, and the scary part is that he is still adding new weapons to his game. The 6'4" floor general combines size, skill, toughness, and a winning mindset into a package that makes him a problem for defenses every time he steps on the floor. Drew can hurt opponents in just about every way imaginable. He can attack off the bounce with force, score at all three levels, create for teammates, control the pace of the game, and step into big moments without blinking. What makes him special is not just the points or the highlights, but the way he impacts winning in so many different ways. His basketball IQ, feel for the game, and willingness to do whatever is needed for his team separate him from many players his age. Whether he is delivering a dazzling dime, hitting a shot, or making the right read under pressure, Drew plays with a confidence and maturity that continue to elevate his game.

Last season at La Cueva was another big step forward. Averaging 17.8 points per game while battling some of the top teams in New Mexico, Drew continued to elevate every area of his game. The postseason brought out some of his best basketball as every possession carried extra weight and every game could have been the last. One of the biggest moments came in the legendary atmosphere of The Pit when he helped lead his team to the state semifinals with a huge 22-point, 8-assist performance. Those moments, competing with his teammates and representing his school in front of his community, are memories that continue to fuel him. His outstanding season earned him First Team All-District honors for the second straight year and further validated his place among the top guards in the state.

One of the biggest reasons for Drew's continued rise has been the improvement in his confidence and decision-making. As the season progressed, he became more comfortable creating opportunities for himself while also making life easier for those around him. That growth has carried directly into AAU basketball with ABC Spotlight on the Recruit Look Circuit. Every weekend presents a new challenge against talented players from different regions, but Drew has embraced the competition and continued to thrive. The game never seems too fast, the pressure never seems too heavy, and his ability to make smart decisions while staying under control continues to stand out.

Drew's growing reputation is no accident. The basketball world is beginning to take notice of what he brings to the floor every night. Recently earning his first DI offer from Green Bay was a huge milestone, but the recognition did not stop there. Drew also earned an invitation to the prestigious Pangos All-American Camp, one of the most exclusive camps in the country. The event is known for bringing together many of the nation's top prospects and future college stars under one roof. Receiving that invitation speaks volumes about how his game is being viewed beyond New Mexico. For Drew, it is another opportunity to compete against elite talent, prove himself on a bigger stage, and continue showing why his stock keeps climbing. When opportunities like Pangos start showing up, it is often a sign that a player is beginning to separate himself from the crowd.

When games become physical and emotions rise, Drew trusts one of his greatest strengths: his composure. While others may rush, force the action, or lose focus, he remains calm and locked in. Rather than allowing setbacks to define him, he focused on staying positive, trusting his preparation, and remaining consistent in the gym. That mindset helped him continue growing both mentally and physically while strengthening every part of his game.

Looking back, one achievement stands above the rest. Helping hand Volcano Vista, the number one ranked team in the state, its first home loss in five years is something Drew will never forget. Moments like that are a reflection of years of hard work, sacrifice, and commitment. Add in back-to-back First Team All-District honors, a DI offer from Green Bay, and an invitation to the Pangos All-American Camp, and it becomes easy to understand why his name continues to gain traction on the recruiting trail.

This offseason, Drew's focus has been getting stronger, becoming more consistent as a shooter, and continuing to evolve into a complete point guard capable of impacting every area of the game. His goals are to keep improving, keep competing, and reach the highest level possible. Coaches can expect a competitor, a leader, an unselfish teammate, and a player willing to do whatever it takes to win. They can expect someone who plays the game the right way, embraces coaching, and competes with everything he has every time he steps on the floor.

I assess that Drew is a versatile playmaker who combines size, toughness, scoring ability, and a high basketball IQ into a winning package. His ability to score at all three levels while creating opportunities for teammates makes him a difficult matchup, and his growing confidence continues to unlock new layers of his game. The combination of poise, leadership, and competitiveness allows him to impact games far beyond the stat sheet. Add in his size at the point guard position and his ability to control the flow of a game, and you have a player who can impact winning in a variety of ways.
