He takes pride in defending, embraces coaching, and has made it a priority to become an even tougher defender by learning from his dad and other strong defensive players. That combination of scoring ability, intensity, toughness, and a team-first mindset continues to shape him into a complete player who affects winning in multiple ways.

His basketball journey makes everything he is accomplishing even more meaningful. Zavier went from being Huntington High's team manager to earning a spot as a varsity starting guard, proving that hard work can completely change a player's path. Going from being overlooked and not viewed as good enough to make the team to becoming a recognized varsity contributor is something he takes great pride in because every opportunity had to be earned. That journey has built confidence, strengthened his belief in himself, and continues to fuel the hunger that drives him every single day.

His summer has been filled with memorable performances while playing for Huntington High. Averaging 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 block, and shooting a blistering 43.6 percent from beyond the arc, Zavier has consistently delivered production while making winning plays in the biggest moments. He has flirted with several 30-point performances while also creating unforgettable clutch highlights, including a late steal that led directly to a game-winning basket, hitting a huge three-pointer with only 30 seconds remaining, and tipping away a pass that sparked another game-winning play. Those moments show that his value stretches far beyond the stat sheet because he embraces pressure instead of avoiding it.

The biggest improvement in his game over the past year has been his confidence.
