When Colt steps into the pocket, everything slows down. The chaos around him might be electric and explosive, but his presence remains calm, steady, and in complete control. Colt brings the type of dynamic leadership every offense searches for at the quarterback position. He plays fast, thinks even faster, and delivers the football with the confidence of a player who understands exactly what is unfolding in front of him. His preparation shows up long before kickoff, and when the game begins, he is already a step ahead because of the film study that allows him to recognize defensive looks and react instantly. Colt processes the field with a high football IQ that allows him to dissect coverages, deliver accurate passes, and keep the offense moving with efficiency and rhythm.

What separates Colt from many quarterbacks is not just his arm or ability to move the offense. It is the way he commands the field with poise and leadership. He plays with a fearless edge while maintaining the composure needed to thrive in big moments. Coaches know when Colt steps under center, they are getting a quarterback who values winning above everything else. That mindset helped fuel an impressive season for Colt and Father Lopez Catholic as the program reached a historic milestone. Colt finished the year with 1,147 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 111 completions, earning MaxPreps Player of the Game three times while being named All-Area and finishing number one in the district in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and total yards. His performance helped lead Father Lopez Catholic to a district championship, the school’s first since 2005, a moment that helped energize the entire program and build belief in what the team can accomplish moving forward. Colt’s biggest improvement has been his ability to stay calm under pressure while managing the game with confidence and control. His focus this offseason is to improve every aspect of his game while chasing his goal of playing D1 football. The motivation behind everything he does is winning, and he remains driven by the belief that success comes through preparation, perseverance, and faith. His relationship with the Lord serves as a guiding force that reminds him to keep striving forward no matter the circumstances.

Despite the production and leadership he has already displayed, Colt continues to stay hungry. He has taken three college visits, received numerous invites from college programs, and has been in communication with several coaches, while remaining focused on the work that still lies ahead. For Colt, the formula never changes. Keep studying, keep competing, and keep building something special with his team.

I assess that Colt brings a valuable combination of intelligence, composure, and competitive leadership to the quarterback position. His ability to process defenses quickly and operate an offense with efficiency allows him to control the pace of a game while minimizing mistakes. The time he invests studying film provides him with a strong understanding of defensive tendencies, which translates into smart decisions and well-timed throws.
