BJ is fearless with the ball in his hands and plays every possession like he has something to prove. That rainmaker from deep stretches the floor, and the moment defenders play him too close, he explodes off the bounce and makes them pay. He is quick into gaps, strong getting downhill, and dangerous once he gets two feet in the paint, either finishing it himself or dropping sweet dimes to teammates right on time. His court vision is real, his feel for the game stands out, and his energy pulls him into rebounds and momentum plays that swing games.
He is a speedy, pass-first playmaker who can still go get one when the moment calls for it. Pick and roll, isolation, broken plays, it does not matter. BJ stays under control while still playing fast, reading defenders, and punishing mistakes. He understands spacing, timing, and when to press versus when to set the table. He knows his size and defensive physicality can keep growing, and he attacks that work every day.
Last season, he averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. This year, he has taken another jump to 26 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, and 5 assists. He has already delivered big performances, including a double-double against Winston-Salem and a huge 34-point game against the number 1-ranked Prolific Prep, proving he is built for big stages and top-level competition.
The biggest improvement has been how he shows up when the lights are bright. BJ is stronger and smarter in big games, especially against national-level talent. He continues to push his playmaking, his defense on and off the ball, and his shotmaking, knowing the work never stops.
What fuels him is being the underdog. Every game is personal. Every matchup is another chance to prove something. That edge never leaves him. When facing adversity, he does not panic or drift. He answers it by putting in the work and refusing to let anything slow him down.
BJ is locked in on the grind session playoffs and chasing a championship. The work has already opened doors, including an offer from UT Martin, and more eyes continue to follow his rise.
I assess that BJ brings pace, pressure, and playmaking. His rainmaker forces coverage to stretch, his downhill attacks break defenders down, and his vision keeps teammates involved. He competes every possession and plays with real edge.
Moving forward, expect BJ to keep stacking big moments as his strength and defensive toughness continue to grow. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and carries it into every game. This is a guard who keeps on coming.
