"The Fearless Shot Maker With Deep Range and Gritty Two-Way Impact"

Jordan Krause

6'1, Class of 2028

Seymour HS, WI

Jordan plays basketball with the mentality of somebody completely unafraid of the moment. Pressure doesn't shake him. Big games do not speed him up. Physical battles do not push him backward. Every time he steps on the floor, Jordan brings fearless confidence, nonstop effort, and a willingness to do every little thing possible to help his team win.

What makes his game dangerous is that he combines scoring ability with gritty winning basketball. He can light teams up from deep, but at the same time, he’s diving on the floor, battling for rebounds, defending aggressively, making hustle plays, and bringing energy that changes momentum. That balance between skill and toughness has helped turn him into one of the steady rising guards in his class.

Jordan’s high school season at Seymour helped lay the foundation for everything currently happening during AAU. Coming off a state runner-up finish, he gained valuable experience battling against some of the toughest competition possible throughout the postseason. That deep playoff run sharpened his confidence because Seymour consistently had to survive adversity, pressure moments, and physical games against elite teams. By the end of the season, Jordan understood what high-level basketball truly looked like.

Jordan's year was extremely productive as well. He averaged 11.5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting a blistering 47% from three-point range. That efficiency from deep immediately stands out because once Jordan finds rhythm offensively, he becomes extremely difficult to slow down.

That confidence carried directly into AAU with Team 1848, where Jordan has continued stacking impressive performances during live period play. One of his best weekends came during UA Rise Session II, where he exploded for 20 points, 3 steals, and 3 assists while shooting a jaw-dropping 60 percent from three in the opening game. He followed that performance with another strong outing during a gritty battle against Alabama Truth, where Team 1848 had to fight possession after possession to pull out a tough win.

Jordan said everything offensively started with his mindset. He entered the weekend in the right headspace, trusted his work, got to his spots confidently, and allowed the game to come naturally. Once the shots started falling, his confidence only continued growing. That calm approach, combined with his shooting touch, created problems for defenses throughout the event.

One of the biggest improvements in Jordan’s game this year came defensively. He worked hard, becoming more active, physical, and disruptive, guarding opposing players. Now he takes pride in staying attached defensively, pressuring ball handlers, and being pesky for an entire game. That defensive edge has added another layer to his overall game because opponents can no longer simply focus on his shooting ability.

In fact, Jordan says the part of his game he takes the most pride in has nothing to do with scoring at all. He loves doing the little things that many players avoid. Diving on the floor, battling for rebounds, playing hard defense, and making hustle plays. He understands winning basketball is built through effort, toughness, and doing whatever the game needs in that moment. That mentality separates him because he embraces work most players try to avoid.

Adversity also helped shape his mindset heavily early in his high school career. One of the toughest moments he faced was during his freshman season when Seymour lost in overtime during the regional finals. The pain from that loss stuck with him deeply and changed the way he approaches basketball moving forward. Jordan never wants to experience that feeling again, so now he competes with an even stronger edge and determination every time he steps on the floor.

Coincidentally, one of the greatest moments of his basketball journey came just one year later when Seymour fought its way all the way to the state championship game. Jordan understands how rare and special that experience truly was because many players never get the opportunity to play on that stage. That run gave him confidence, experience, and motivation to continue chasing even bigger goals moving forward.

Heading into the offseason, Jordan’s focus remains locked in on getting physically stronger and tightening his ball-handling even more. He wants to continue expanding his offensive game while staying relentless defensively and becoming an even more complete player overall.

When coaches and fans watch Jordan compete, they can expect nonstop energy, fearless confidence, physical defense, winning basketball, and a player completely committed to improving every single day. They can expect a dangerous shooter capable of changing momentum quickly, but also a competitor willing to battle for every loose ball, every rebound, and every possession from start to finish.

I assess that Jordan’s combination of shooting touch, toughness, and defensive intensity gives his game tremendous value. His ability to shoot efficiently from deep while also embracing physical basketball and hustle plays creates a strong two-way impact. He competes hard defensively, rebounds well for his position, and consistently makes winning plays outside of scoring.

His confidence and fearlessness offensively also stand out. Jordan understands how to get to his spots, trusts his shot, and plays with strong composure during pressure situations. Combined with his improving defense and willingness to embrace dirty work, his overall game continues to evolve.

I assess that Jordan has the tools to become a highly impactful two-way guard because of his perimeter shooting, toughness, and nonstop motor. Players who combine efficient scoring with hustle, defensive intensity, and team-first mentality create tremendous value within winning programs. His playoff experience and ability to compete against strong competition early in his career should also continue helping his development long-term.

Moving forward, expect Jordan’s game to continue expanding as his strength, handle, and offensive versatility improve. The combination of unlimited shooting range, gritty effort, defensive energy, and fearless mentality gives him a strong foundation with plenty of potential still ahead. Stay tuned.
