"The Fearless Attack: Versatility, Toughness, and the Will to Win"

6'5, Class of 2027

Rockford HS, MI

Josh doesn't wait for the game to come to him because he attacks it from the opening tip. His aggressive style, versatility, and nonstop motor allow him to impact every part of the game, whether he is scoring, rebounding, defending, or making the hustle plays that swing momentum. Every time he steps on the floor, Josh plays with purpose and confidence, bringing energy that spreads throughout his team. That approach has helped him become a huge piece of Grand Rapids Storm's success on the Under Armour Circuit, while continuing to build on a strong high school season that ended with a state championship at Rockford. Winning has become part of his journey, but Josh is far from satisfied because he believes there is still another level waiting to be reached.

The past year has been filled with memories that will stay with him for a long time. Winning a state championship stands at the top of that list, giving him and his teammates the reward for countless hours of work that most people never see. That winning carried right into the AAU season, where Grand Rapids Storm has continued to make noise by sitting in first place on the Under Armour Circuit. Every tournament has added another chapter to an already impressive year, and Josh has embraced every opportunity to compete against elite talent while helping his team continue stacking victories.

One of the biggest moments of the summer came at the UAA National Semifinals against Canada Elite. Josh caught fire from the opening minutes and never slowed down, finishing with 23 points and 9 rebounds while helping Grand Rapids Storm grind out a huge 66-63 win. He was getting downhill with confidence, attacking the rim, drawing contact, finishing through defenders, and making his three-point shots whenever the defense backed away. Every part of his offensive game seemed to fall into place that afternoon, and whenever Canada Elite answered with a run, Josh responded with another big play that helped Storm stay in control when it mattered most.

The biggest improvement in Josh's game has come from becoming more aggressive while also making smarter decisions every time he touches the basketball. He has learned when to attack, when to slow things down, and how to let the game come to him without losing the edge that makes him so effective. That added maturity has allowed his natural ability to shine even brighter because he now plays with confidence while making better reads in every situation.

The work behind the scenes is what fuels everything fans see on game day. Josh makes it a priority to get in the gym at least twice a day, constantly working to elevate every part of his game while putting extra attention on becoming a more consistent shooter. Those long hours are driven by goals that stretch far beyond one season. He wants to finish this AAU season by bringing home the Under Armour championship, follow that with another state championship during his junior year, and continue chasing his dream of playing professional basketball one day. Every workout becomes another step toward those goals, and he understands there are no shortcuts to reaching them.

When Josh plays against highly ranked or well-known names, nothing changes about his approach. He simply wants to compete as hard as he can and prove that he belongs on the same floor with anybody in the country. He never gets caught up in rankings or attention because his focus stays locked on playing his game, trusting his preparation, and helping his team win. That fearless mindset allows him to compete with confidence regardless of who is standing across from him.

With the Under Armour championship still ahead, Josh plans to bring the same relentless effort that has carried him all summer. His focus remains on helping Grand Rapids Storm finish the job while building even more momentum heading into his junior season. After tasting the excitement of winning a state championship, he knows exactly what it takes to reach the top, and he is hungry to experience that feeling all over again.

Ask Josh what a coach can expect every time he steps on the floor, and the answer is found in his actions. He is going to play as hard as he possibly can, battle for every loose ball, embrace the little things that help teams win, and compete until the final buzzer sounds. His hunger to become a better basketball player every single day continues to drive him, and that desire pushes him to keep chasing bigger goals while never losing sight of the work required to reach them.

I assess that Josh brings an exciting mix of versatility, toughness, and competitive fire every time he steps on the court. His ability to attack the basket, stretch the floor, rebound, and make winning plays gives his team production in several different ways instead of relying on only one strength. His willingness to outwork people and embrace the dirty work makes his value grow far beyond the stat sheet.

Josh continues to rise because his game is growing along with his confidence. His improved decision-making, aggressive mentality, steady work ethic, and team-first attitude have helped him become a dependable piece for winning teams. With his commitment to improving every day and his determination to keep chasing championships, the future looks very bright as he heads toward another important high school season. Stay tuned.
