Cooper is a vocal leader who plays with purpose. He steps on the floor ready to give everything he has and do whatever the team needs to win. That mindset drives everything. Whether it’s scoring, rebounding, defending, or directing traffic, he impacts the game in ways that go beyond the stat sheet. There’s a steady confidence in how he plays, backed by effort that never dips and a willingness to lead from the front.
That impact was clear during his strong showing at Pitt Jam. Defensively, he was locked in, especially from the help side and around the interior, making plays that shut down easy looks and forced tough shots. He read the floor well, rotated with purpose, and made his presence known around the rim. On the other end, everything was flowing. His teammates trusted him, found him in the right spots, and he delivered with efficient scoring and smart decisions. It wasn’t just about getting buckets; it was about making the right play every time the moment called for it.
His school season at Greencastle-Antrim told the story of a player stepping into a bigger role and making it count. An 18-4 record, a conference championship, and a trip to districts highlighted what the team was able to accomplish. As a freshman on varsity, averaging 10 points and 5 rebounds, Cooper didn’t just fit in; he contributed in meaningful ways. What stands out most is how a young team came together and still found success, setting the stage for what’s ahead.
While the scoring jumps off the page, it’s how he gets those points that defines him. He’s a strong scorer from all areas of the floor, capable of stretching defenses and making them pay in multiple ways. That versatility has grown alongside his development as a guard. His ability to handle the ball, space the floor, and create opportunities for others has taken a big step forward, adding another layer to his game and making him even tougher to defend.
That growth didn’t come easy. Earlier in his career, minutes were limited, and opportunities weren’t always there. Instead of letting that hold him back, he trusted his work ethic and patience. He kept showing up, kept improving, and earned his spot. That stretch built the foundation for who he is now, a player who understands the grind and doesn’t shy away from it.
The recognition has already started to follow. Earning All-Conference honors as a freshman is a major statement and speaks to the level of impact he made right away. It reflects not just production, but consistency, trust from coaches, and the respect he’s earned on the court.
Now heading into AAU, the focus is on building even more. Continuing to develop his guard skills, improving his shot, and elevating his athleticism and strength are all part of the plan. Coaches can expect a player who truly loves the game, leads by example, and plays with purpose every possession. A floor general who communicates, competes, and brings energy that lifts the entire team.
Off the court, that same discipline shows up in the classroom, carrying a 4.0 GPA and proving that his approach to excellence doesn’t stop when the game ends.
I assess that Cooper is a high-motor guard who brings leadership, intensity, and versatility every time he steps on the floor. His ability to impact the game defensively, score from multiple areas, and elevate teammates through communication and playmaking makes him a valuable piece in any lineup.
As he continues to grow physically and expand his guard skill set, Cooper has the potential to become a complete two-way player who can control the pace of the game. His work ethic, leadership, and understanding of how to win give him a strong foundation moving forward. Expect him to keep developing into a reliable, all-around contributor who can lead, produce, and make winning plays at a high level. Stay tuned.
