"The Deep-Range Sniper Who Never Stops Hunting Buckets"

6ft, Class of 2028

Luke has built his game around punishing defenders. Give him even a small window, and he can rain in a shot from deep. Press up too tight, and he has the handles, quick feet, and confidence to blow past defenders off the bounce. Back off to protect the drive and he can punish teams with his jumper. Add in a smooth pull-up game from the midrange, and it becomes easy to see why he has become such a difficult cover. Luke's ability to score from multiple spots on the floor keeps defenders guessing and allows him to impact games in a variety of ways.

While eligibility rules kept him from playing varsity this past season, that did not stop him from finding success. His school team made a deep run, reaching the state tournament in 4A after going undefeated leading up to that point and finishing among the top teams in the state. Even though he was unable to contribute on the varsity floor, the experience only fueled his motivation and sharpened his focus on the work still ahead.

That motivation has carried straight into a breakout AAU season with FOH Seattle. Playing against some of the best competition in the state and region, Luke has consistently stepped up and delivered big performances. He has led his team in scoring while helping them win games in some of the toughest events on the schedule. One of his biggest weekends came at the Rotary NETS Showcase, where he exploded for 30 points with 6 triples against PC Prep before following it up with 28 points and 4 more triples against BC Hoops Academy. Those performances were not isolated flashes either. Throughout the spring and summer, he has continued piling up strong games, including a 26-point performance with 5 threes, a 25-point game with 7 threes, and a 20-point outing against Fuego. When Luke gets rolling from beyond the arc, he can change the flow of a game in a hurry.

A major reason for that success has been the improvements was his ball handling and shot creation. Over the last year, he has worked hard to become more than just a shooter. His handle has improved, allowing him to break defenders down and create space for himself. His quicker release has also made it easier to get shots off against tight defense and heavy contests. The result has been a more complete scorer who can hurt opponents whether the ball is in his hands on the perimeter or attacking off the bounce.

One of the biggest challenges Luke has faced has come from being overlooked and hearing people question him because of his size or outside factors he cannot control. Instead of letting that discourage him, he used it as motivation. The experience taught him not to wait for opportunities to be handed to him and not to expect anyone else to create his path. Every workout, every game, and every opportunity became another chance to prove himself.

The confidence he plays with today comes from the work that happens when nobody is watching. Luke spends his days constantly working on his game, often training multiple times a day while balancing shooting, skill work, lifting, recovery, and stretching. His goal is to get a little better every single day. While others may still be sleeping, he is already finding ways to improve. That daily commitment has helped him continue to build confidence and earn the trust of coaches who believe in what he brings to the floor.

That same confidence shows up whenever he faces highly ranked players or tougher competition. Rankings and reputations do not mean much once the ball goes up. Luke approaches every matchup with the belief that everybody has to lace their shoes up the same way. He focuses on competing, trusting his preparation, and letting his game do the talking. That mindset has helped him perform well against strong competition and continues to push him toward bigger goals.

Looking ahead, Luke has no plans of slowing down. He wants to continue leading his AAU team, continue proving himself against top competition, earn a spot in the starting lineup during the high school season, and establish himself as one of the players opponents must game plan for every night. The confidence is there, the work is being put in, and the momentum continues to build.

Coaches can expect a player who plays with confidence, competes every possession, and is never afraid of the moment. They can expect someone who can stretch defenses, create his own shot, score from all three levels, and put pressure on opponents throughout the game. Most importantly, they can expect a player who works for everything he earns and refuses to let outside opinions define what he can become.

I assess that Luke is a dynamic scorer whose shooting range immediately grabs attention. His ability to make contested shots from deep, create off the bounce, and score at all three levels makes him a dangerous offensive weapon. The improvements in his handles, shot creation, and quicker release have helped make him a more complete player and a tougher matchup for defenders.

Luke's game continues to move in the right direction because he combines confidence, skill, and a strong work ethic. He has already shown he can produce against high-level competition and has put together an impressive AAU season filled with big scoring performances. As he continues adding strength, experience, and opportunities at the high school level, expect his impact to keep growing. Stay tuned.
