Coming into the season, the goal was to prove he’s more than just a facilitator. He had spent years surrounded by talented scorers, making his name by setting others up, but this season he wanted to show he could take over in different ways. That meant scoring when needed, leading with confidence, and stepping into whatever role the team required. That balance turned him into a complete combo guard who could hurt you as a scorer or break you down as a playmaker.

This season Elijah averaged 16 points, 8 assists, shooting 52% from the field and 36% from three tells the story, The crafty playmaker who controls the game and cuts you apart those 8 dimes hit different. That’s control. That’s trust. That’s a guard who dictates the game and keeps everyone involved. He doesn’t just get his, he makes sure everyone eats, and that’s what drives winning. His ability to create while still being a scoring threat keeps defenses guessing every possession.

That level of control didn’t just show up overnight. It’s built on natural feel and real work. Hours of tightening his handles, studying defenses, and learning how to read situations in real time. Being able to score forces defenders to respect him, and that opens everything else up, making his passing even more dangerous. That balance is what makes him tough to guard.

The season didn’t fully click right away. Early struggles from the perimeter tested his confidence, but the turning point came in that second matchup against Boyd County. That game unlocked everything. He found rhythm both inside and out, and once that balance hit, his confidence took off and so did his production.

Adversity showed up heavy around Christmas when injuries hit, a sprained ankle and back pain that kept him sidelined for multiple games. Watching from the sideline is never easy, especially when you want to be out there competing. Instead of losing focus, he stayed locked in, working on his shooting and ball handling however he could, staying ready for when his moment came back. When he returned, the team hit another rough stretch, but they stayed together, learned from it, and finished strong.

Reaching 1000 career points and earning All-Regional Tournament Team honors meant something, but not in the way most think. Those are milestones, but his pride comes from making the right play and helping his team win. That’s always been the focus, and it shows in how he plays.

That run into the Regional Championship against Boyd County brought everything to a peak. Rivalry, pressure, intensity, all of it. Those games are always battles, and even though it didn’t end the way they wanted, it added something to him. It built toughness. It reinforced the mindset that you stay locked in and compete no matter the moment.

Now that same energy has carried into AAU, and it’s showing on the NXTPro circuit. Playing with a team that shares the same edge, the same hunger, and the same chip on their shoulder has unlocked another level. He’s pushing the pace, making reads, picking off passes, finishing through contact, and breaking defenders down with his handles. It’s all clicking because of the chemistry and the mindset they bring every time they step on the floor.

Behind it all is the work. Daily grind in the gym, lifting, CrossFit, shooting, ball handling, and training consistently. There’s no satisfaction in where he’s at right now. The goal is bigger. Keep improving. Earn an opportunity at the next level. Step into a program that believes in him and be ready to impact winning right away.
