Ken is a fierce competitor whose game shines through leadership and control. A true floor general, he dictates tempo, makes the right reads, and thrives on setting teammates up for success. His quick first step and strong handles allow him to break down defenders, while his defensive intensity creates constant pressure. Ken separates himself with his IQ and unselfish play, but can lead a team by scoring when needed, and by raising the level of everyone around him. Coaches know they can count on him for toughness, poise, and relentless energy on both ends of the floor.
This past season, Ken averaged 15 points, 6.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game, proving himself as a complete two-way impact player. His biggest improvement came in decision-making, learning how to slow the game down, cut turnovers, and stay in control in high-pressure moments. His shooting improved at all levels, giving him more confidence as a three-level scorer, while his ability to finish in traffic became a major weapon. This offseason, he’s focused on building strength to finish through contact, expanding his three-point shooting off the dribble, and continuing to grow his conditioning for an even bigger role.
Ken’s impact reaches far beyond one season. He embraced the challenge of a leadership role, trusted to run the offense in crucial moments and deliver. He’s represented his country as captain of the Rwanda national team, competed with programs like Layton Christian and Invictus Basketball, and now continues to shine at PHCA while holding six offers. His experience against national and international competition has sharpened his mentality, preparing him to thrive wherever he’s placed.
What drives Ken the most are the moments that change games, like big defensive stops, clutch plays, and making passes that bring his teammates alive. Even when faced with adversity, he stays locked in, living by the advice to control effort, energy, and attitude. That mindset fuels his consistency and maturity, keeping him grounded as he pushes toward his goals.
Faith is at the core of Ken’s journey. He fully trusts God and the process, leaning on his faith as both guidance and motivation. His belief gives him perspective through adversity and keeps his priorities aligned, both as an athlete and as a young man striving to lead by example. For Ken, basketball is more than a game; it’s a platform to glorify God and inspire those around him.
Away from basketball, Ken values time with family and friends, training, music, and watching film to keep expanding his craft. His dedication to always getting better makes him a player who is constantly evolving, always striving to take the next step.
I assess that Ken’s combination of playmaking, defensive intensity, and leadership makes him a guard who can instantly elevate a program. His ability to control pace, create offense, and disrupt opponents defensively translates directly to winning basketball.
Ken has the tools and mentality to keep rising. With his growing strength, expanded shooting, and proven leadership, he is primed to become one of the top point guards in the 2026 class. Already carrying offers and international experience, Ken has the foundation to not just play at the next level, but to make a significant impact when he gets there. Stay tuned.
