Bearden HS, TN

Electric, explosive, and relentlessly dynamic, Justin makes the court his canvas and every possession a masterpiece. A fierce ball handler with crafty footwork and next-level shiftiness, he slices through defenders like a Swiss Army knife with the smooth control of a seasoned vet. His quick burst athleticism fuels his ability to slice through traffic like a Swiss Army knife, always equipped with the perfect move. He elevates with shocking hops and soars for rebounds like a big, yet still flashes that rare ability to pin shots as a sneaky-strong shot blocker from the guard spot. His size may suggest finesse but don’t get it twisted. Justin’s game is laced with grit, tenacity, and a fierce physicality. Defensively, he's a scrappy, smart, and relentless nightmare with a non-stop motor and the toughness to clamp down any assignment. Add in elite court vision, high basketball IQ, and an unselfish approach to winning, and what you get is a complete and versatile guard built to take over games in every way imaginable.

Justin filled the stat sheet last season, averaging 16 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals per game while hitting 43% from beyond the arc and 82% at the stripe. His biggest improvement was his strength and confidence while handling the ball and reading the floor, making him even more poised and dangerous under pressure. Whether it's finishing strong at the rim, launching from deep, or threading a no-look dime, he's evolved into a player who impacts every possession. His offseason focus focused on deep-range consistency, high-level ball control, and mastering ball-screen decisions. His fuel is the burning desire to show he can compete at a high level and the unwavering belief that his work ethic will outshine any doubts. His ultimate goal is to bring a state title to Bearden and prove to college programs that he belongs.

Running with TN Impact on the 3SSB circuit, Justin is stepping onto one of the biggest stages in grassroots basketball. With 3SSB Nationals on the radar, he’s hungry to showcase his full arsenal, especially his defensive fire and ability to lock up elite guards. He’s embracing every challenge with a chip on his shoulder and using this AAU season to build his name and take his game to the next level.

Off the court, Justin thrives in the same way he does on it, with focus and purpose. He finds peace and power in his faith, leaning on Jesus and the values of resilience and discipline to push through adversity. The best advice he has ever received is “Focus on the 95%, of all the things you can do without the ball.” It’s that approach that has molded him into a complete player, one who finds ways to win, even on the nights the shots don’t fall.

I assess that Justin is the kind of guard every coach wants and every opponent dreads. His speed and athleticism allow him to get downhill in a flash, while his crafty footwork and court awareness make him lethal in transition or in the half-court. His ability to make smart reads, connect on high-level passes, and lock down defensively gives him a rare balance of flash and fundamentals. As a high-IQ player who takes pride in doing the little things, he naturally makes everyone around him better.

Justin’s tools translate to the next level in a major way. His blend of athleticism, court vision, and perimeter shooting has a big impact on any college system, especially one that thrives in pace-and-space or ball-screen-heavy offense. Defensively, his relentless approach and lateral quickness can make him an immediate asset as a two-way guard.

With his constant desire to grow, matched by faith, fire, and focus, expect Justin to keep leveling up. He’s not done yet, but he's far from it. What lies ahead is a player built to lead, compete, and win on the biggest stages. Stay tuned!
