Camden is a composed and confident shooting guard with a quick trigger and a beautiful touch from deep with a smooth turn-and-fire jumper that's dangerous the moment he crosses half court. Especially when he gets to his spot off the dribble or a catch. What makes him tough to defend now is how far his game has evolved. Once solely a perimeter shooter, Camden has developed the ability to pump, explode past defenders, and attack the rim with purpose. He finishes well and draws contact, knocking down free throws at an strong 85% clip. While shooting is still his calling card, he’s also shown the ability to handle the ball when needed, make smart passes, and keep the offense flowing. His goal is to become a complete guard, and he’s moving toward that with maturity, hunger, and a high basketball IQ.
This past season, Camden averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game, scoring 233 total points. He shot 32% from three and 30% overall from the field while earning his first all-region award, a milestone that gave him confidence and fueled his motivation. His biggest improvement was learning how to get to the rim and not just rely on the jumper, making him much tougher to guard. This offseason, Camden is focused on tightening his ball handling under pressure and developing his left hand to keep defenders guessing and his game unpredictable.
He tried out and made the Macon Mavs AAU squad but couldn’t participate due to financial challenges. Still, that setback hasn’t slowed his desire to grow. If given the chance to play AAU this year, his only focus would be on getting better in all areas and taking his craft to the next level. Camden has his eyes on stepping into an upperclassman leadership role, taking charge on the court, and setting the tone for a winning season. He thrives off high-pressure moments, especially when the defense locks in and creates chaos for the opponent, nothing fires him up more than a forced turnover or a dunk that lifts the team’s energy. He faces adversity with calm confidence, trusting his preparation and always remembering that “Process over Outcome” is what separates short-term emotions from long-term success.
Off the court, Camden enjoys fishing, football, gaming, and spending time with friends and family. More than anything, he wants to keep climbing and reach the collegiate level, no matter the division, because playing the game he loves at the next level is what drives him.
I assess that Camden is a high-IQ shooter with emerging playmaking tools and the mindset to keep evolving. His willingness to improve and become more than just a scorer will make him a valuable asset to a college program looking for a steady guard who can space the floor, lead, and compete.
As Camden elevates his handles, builds strength in his off-hand, and continues to lead with purpose, his stock will rise. He has the tools to impact games right now, and as the work continues, he’ll be a name that won’t be overlooked at the next level. Stay tuned.
