Talon is a smart three-level scorer who plays the game with confidence, control, and purpose. He can bring the heat from beyond the arc with an unlimited-range catch-and-shoot rainmaker that forces defenders to honor him the moment he crosses half court. When defenders rush him, Talon attacks the gap, gets downhill, and finishes or delivers dazzling dimes to open teammates. His court vision stands out, and his passing ability adds real value, as he consistently puts teammates in better positions to score. He plays with a high basketball IQ, understanding spacing, timing, and how to make the game easier for everyone on the floor.
The growth from last season to this year has been dramatic and well-earned. After averaging 3.6 points, 1 rebound, and 0.5 assists last year while shooting 33.9% from three, Talon has taken a major leap this season, averaging 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 42.3% from the field, 34.7% from three, and 79.7% from the free-throw line. He has evolved into way more than just a perimeter shooter.
The biggest improvement since last season has been confidence and aggression. Talon is no longer settling for just jump shots. He is attacking the basket, finishing stronger, rebounding with intent, and playing more aggressive defense by jumping passing lanes and going after steals. What once was a game built mainly around shooting has grown into a more complete offensive attack. His focus moving forward is getting stronger, more explosive, and quicker to continue improving as a defender, while also developing his ball handling and finishing through contact so he can stretch the floor and punish defenders who overcommit.
Talon is locked in on winning the conference and making a run to state this season. Looking ahead, he is excited to compete with Wisconsin Swing on the RecruitLook Circuit and continue proving himself against higher-level competition. His goals for next season include earning First Team All-Conference honors and winning the conference again. Playing against crowds that doubt him fuels his fire and pushes him to raise his level.
When facing adversity, Talon stays calm and composed, focusing on playing at his own pace and not allowing the moment to speed him up or slow him down. That steady approach shows maturity beyond his years and allows him to stay effective regardless of game flow. Off the court, Talon carries a 3.9 GPA, showing the same discipline in the classroom that he brings to his preparation and performance on the floor. As of now, he holds no offers, but the growth, production, and mindset are clearly pointing in the right direction.
I assess that Talon brings a college program a floor-spacing guard who can shoot it from deep, make smart reads, and create good looks for teammates while continuing to grow as a downhill scorer. His IQ, shooting ability, and willingness to impact multiple areas make him a strong fit in offenses that value spacing and ball movement.
Moving forward, Talon is becoming a more complete offensive threat whose confidence and aggression continue to rise. As his strength, explosiveness, and finishing through contact improve, his overall impact will expand even further, positioning him as a guard with potential and momentum heading into the next stages of his development. Stay tuned.
