JZ is a dynamic and explosive guard with an instinctive game that thrives on both sides of the ball. His quickness and determination make him a nightmare for defenders, as he can score from anywhere on the court. Whether he's hitting mid-range jumpers with precision or slicing his way through traffic to finish at the rim, JZ’s ability to impact the game is undeniable. He also brings elite defense, suffocating opposing players full-court and creating turnovers with his relentless energy. His motor never stops, and his intensity doesn’t fade even when the game’s on the line. Washington is truly a force to be reckoned with.

This past season, JZ averaged 10 points a game at Pascagoula High School and took it to another level in AAU, averaging 15 points a game. His biggest improvement has been his ball-handling and his ability to navigate through defenses with ease. This offseason, he’s focusing on expanding his three-point range and boosting his court IQ to elevate his game even further. He’s also looking to be more consistent with his shooting and take his overall scoring ability to the next level. JZ’s hustle, whether diving on loose balls or contributing to his team’s success, has been one of his most impactful attributes. As he heads into the next AAU season with BBA Select, his goal is to continue developing his court vision, become more efficient from beyond the arc, and catch the attention of college coaches.

Off the court, JZ is driven by a fierce love for the game and a focus on the journey rather than the destination. He thrives in the heat of competition, igniting his teammates with his play and leadership. JZ handles adversity with poise and calm, never allowing the pressure to distract him from his mission. His biggest motivation is to help his team succeed while elevating his game. As his coach says, "Love the journey, enjoy the grind," and JZ carries that mentality on every possession.

I assess that JZ’s strengths, particularly his elite defensive ability, scoring versatility, and nonstop motor, will make him a valuable asset to any college program. His energy and leadership can lift a team, and his ability to impact both ends of the floor shows he can thrive in multiple roles. His potential to grow as a three-level scorer and elevate his court vision is immense, making him a standout recruit for programs looking for a dynamic, all-around player.
