Evan is a fierce competitor with a flamethrower jumper and the defensive grit to silence an opposing team’s top weapon. A natural combo guard with a high motor and smooth rhythm, he brings two-way firepower every time he steps on the court. His ability to stretch the floor with confidence, lock in on defense, and deliver in clutch moments makes him a coach’s dream and a nightmare to scout against. Whether he’s raining a deep three or locking up the best scorer on the floor, Evan plays with a relentless chip and energy that ignites his team.
Last season, Evan lit it up with 17.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, but the numbers only tell part of the story. He elevated his defensive game to new levels and became a consistent shot-creator, highlighted by a jaw-dropping 40-point explosion against Kent City. He earned 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Area, and All-State Honorable Mention honors for his play, and he's not done. His offseason is locked in on expanding his scoring bag and taking his already suffocating defense to another level. He plays for The House National this AAU season. Evan has circled the GBL Session 2 Tournament in Indianapolis as the spotlight moment to keep rising and catching eyes.
Heading into his senior season, Evan is hungry for a breakout year and the opportunity to earn offers and prove he belongs at the next level. The fire that fuels him is big-time shots, whether it’s his or a teammate’s, because those moments charge him up like nothing else. And when facing adversity, he resets, locks in, and answers on the very next possession. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is “Keep the right attitude and let your game do the talking.” And that’s exactly what he plans to do.
Off the court, Evan enjoys quality time with his family and playing golf to stay relaxed and locked in. But when the lights come on, he's all business.
Evan's mix of knockdown shooting and tough, on-ball defense gives college coaches a dependable two-way guard who can impact both ends of the floor. His ability to heat up fast and shut down opponents sets him apart as a tone-setter with upside.
Expect Evan to command even more attention as a senior. With a scorer’s mentality, continued growth as a creator, and next-level defensive swagger, he can quickly become a high-value steal in the recruiting world. His best basketball is still ahead. State turned for a monster season ahead.
