Cross is an efficient floor general, who commands the offense and has it running like a well oiled machine. He is a three point sniper, is very effective off the bounce and will drop dimes. In his own words, he is "Smoove.” He never forces anything, instead he always lets the game come to him. His greatest strengths are his shooting capabilities and his strong handles. However, he also is a very strong defender.
Last season, he broke his wrist, and as soon as he was fully healed, he began training like a man on a mission. He came back stronger than ever, and you can absolutely tell that he has elevated his overall game. Playing AAU for TLBA, his only goal is to win Nationals for the circuit. He has averaged 16 points, 5 assist and 2 steals per game on the Puma circuit this summer, including a 40 point game, where he torched the nets for 11 threes. He said he is striving to go undefeated this upcoming season, and hopefully pick up some offers along the way.
What really motivates him is when an opposing player talks trash. Nothing makes him more happy than dropping a three and seeing the look on his opponent’s face. He lets his game do all his talking for him When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “A player with a positive attitude, who will bring up my teammates when things aren’t going our way during a game. I always keep my composure and I stay focused and stay disciplined.”
He sees himself playing at a D2 school in the future. With his work ethic, I see a man on a mission who will be very fun to watch! Cross currently holds an offer from Bluefield University.
