Hume Fogg Academic Magnet, TN

Isiah is an explosive and dynamic athlete who brings relentless energy and confidence to every possession. Standing 6’4 with a 6’7 wingspan, he’s a true two-way force capable of impacting the game on both ends. Offensively, he can get hot in a flash, raining threes from deep or exploding off the bounce with a fierce first step that leaves defenders chasing shadows. His length and elevation make him a nightmare to contain around the rim, finishing strong through contact or above it. With advanced control, he can shift speeds effortlessly, pull up in rhythm, and attack lanes with purpose. His vision and unselfishness keep teammates involved, and his composure allows him to dictate tempo like a seasoned guard. Defensively, Isiah’s size, instincts, and wingspan allow him to guard positions one through four, contest shots, and disrupt passing lanes. He takes pride in locking down opponents, turning stops into fast breaks, and setting the tone with his energy. Every time he steps on the court, his confidence, athleticism, and presence immediately elevate his team.

At the NYBA Coach K Combine, Isiah put on a complete display of his versatility and high-level athleticism. He was one of the most explosive players on the floor, showing his ability to take over games with scoring, defensive pressure, and playmaking. He thrived in transition, attacked gaps with control, and used his bounce to finish at the rim with flair. Whether hitting pull-up threes or showcasing his quick first step, Isiah left a lasting impression as one of the event’s top performers. His combination of confidence, leadership, and consistency proved that he can not only play fast but command the floor with poise.

Last season, Isiah helped lead Hume Fogg to a historic 28-4 record, the best in school history, playing with two current college players. He averaged 9.3 points, 3.4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, serving as a key piece in back-to-back region championships with undefeated records. His biggest improvement was in attacking the rim with authority and getting to the line, all while continuing to knock down shots from beyond the arc. That success and consistency earned him recognition as a leader who brings intensity, defensive presence, and pace every night.

This offseason, Isiah is focused on improving his footwork, tightening his handles, and adding a reliable midrange touch to make his scoring arsenal even deeper. His goals are to become a college-ready guard, strengthen his leadership voice, and defend at a high level for an entire game. Coaches can expect maximum effort, high-level communication, and an athlete who thrives in pressure moments. He embraces adversity and stays composed, trusting his work and finding ways to persevere through challenges. His defensive mindset reflects his maturity in making the ball handler uncomfortable early and dictating the tone from the start.

Off the court, Isiah enjoys traveling and experiencing new environments that challenge and inspire him. His love for the game and dedication to constant improvement make him a player every program will want to have. With his combination of skill, length, and drive, Isiah Ring is on a fast track toward major impact at the next level.

I assess that Isiah is a gifted two-way guard who brings explosive offense, suffocating defense, and next-level athleticism. His length, confidence, and court awareness give him the ability to influence the game from every spot on the floor. Coaches can expect a competitor who leads with energy and discipline and raises the standard for those around him.

Expect Isiah to continue rising as one of Tennessee's most complete 2026 guards. His performance at the NYBA. With his 6’7 wingspan, elite motor, and relentless mindset, he has the tools to become a versatile guard capable of dominating both ends of the floor even on the next level. Stay tuned for a statement season ahead.
