Luke doesn’t just play in the paint, he owns it. His presence alone forces teams to rethink everything they want to do offensively and defensively, but what makes him truly dangerous is how much more he brings beyond size. He is a true interior force with a natural feel for the game, someone who understands angles, timing, and positioning in a way that allows him to control the action around the rim. His ability to score inside isn’t just about strength, it’s about touch, footwork, and knowing exactly where to be. He seals deep, finishes strong, and turns simple opportunities into guaranteed points and fierce dunks. But what separates him is how that inside dominance opens everything else. When defenses collapse, he reads it instantly, finding cutters or kicking out to shooters, making him just as impactful as a passer as he is a scorer.
From the start of the season, the tone was clear. Protect the rim, dominate the paint, and be a constant target inside. He embraced that role fully, becoming a reliable option for dump-offs, deep seals, and second-chance points while continuing to stretch his game outward as his perimeter shot continues to develop. Defensively, his growth has been just as real. Learning to stay disciplined, especially as a rim protector, took his impact to another level. Instead of chasing blocks, he now times everything, waiting until the ball is released and attacking it at the perfect moment. That adjustment alone has made him far more effective at altering and erasing shots.
The biggest test came with the workload. Balancing school, lifting, and constant training pushed him into unfamiliar territory, and early on, it felt overwhelming. Instead of backing off, he pushed through it. He found a rhythm, embraced the grind, and turned that pressure into progress. That shift showed up late in the season, when his confidence, strength, and production all took noticeable jumps. Five days a week in the weight room, consistent training, and reps on the gun all started to translate into real results on the floor.
That growth has carried directly into AAU, and it’s showing in a big way. Running with UA Grind for Top Shot Nashville and even stepping up into 17U competition, Luke has made it clear that playing older competition isn’t a challenge; it’s an opportunity. The game doesn’t change, and neither does his mindset. Dominate. And that’s exactly what he’s been doing. Multiple player of the game performances, including a 13 point, 7 rebound, 2 steal showing against the Atlanta Panthers and a 19 point, 7 rebound, 4 block performance against P.E.R. 2027. Add in an 18-point outing where he was unstoppable inside, using his size, strength, and feel to control the paint while cleaning the boards on both ends, and it’s clear that his production is catching up with his potential.
His biggest improvement has come in consistency and confidence. The scoring and rebounding numbers are climbing, but more importantly, his presence is becoming more dominant every time he steps on the floor. He’s not waiting for the game to come to him anymore; he’s imposing himself on it.
When the postseason came, the mindset shifted to survival. Win or go home. That urgency brought more opportunity, more minutes, and a chance to show he could be trusted in those moments. He delivered, giving his team strong minutes and making the most of every opportunity in high-pressure situations.
What fuels Luke is gratitude and growth. The support system around him, from his parents to his strength and conditioning coach, continues to push him forward, and his focus now is building strength, staying consistent, and continuing to expand his game. And as that development continues, the ceiling keeps rising.
I assess that Luke is an interior force with size, touch, and feel that allows him to control the paint on both ends. His ability to score efficiently in the paint, rebound at a high level, and protect the rim makes him a valuable anchor. His vision and passing add another dimension that elevates team offense.
As he continues to develop physically and expand his perimeter skill set, Luke is poised to be a highly impactful big who can dominate inside while also facilitating and stretching defenses. With continued growth in strength, timing, and overall consistency, his potential points toward becoming a major presence at higher levels. Stay tuned.
