A poised, versatile scorer who can stretch the floor, create off the bounce, and keep constant pressure on defenders, Kahner plays the game with a steady rhythm that keeps everything under control.

This past season didn’t open the way he envisioned. Early sickness slowed him down and shook his confidence, especially with the expectations he had set for himself. But that stretch became a turning point. Instead of folding, he worked through it, and slowly the game started opening up again. Midseason, things began clicking in a big way with a double-double performance against Hopkins County Central that sparked a strong run. He followed that with standout games against district rival Union County and closed the regular season with a 22-point performance against a long and talented Apollo squad. What started as a struggle turned into growth, and that growth turned into results.

Kahner’s ability to score at all three levels is what makes him dangerous. He understands how to read defenders and pick his spots, knowing when to attack, when to rise up, and when to create for others. That doesn’t come by accident but from hours in the gym, putting in work with his dad, building each layer of his game piece by piece. The handles, the touch, the footwork, all of it working together to create space and open up scoring lanes that others can’t find.

His shot is a weapon. Quick, smooth, and lethal. But what makes it stand out is the preparation behind it. The shots seen on game night are the same ones taken in the gym every single day.
