Simon brings a fierce, controlled energy to the court that few can match. He dictates the tempo with smooth control, balances creativity with composure, and punishes defenders who underestimate his range or quickness. What separates Simon from other guards in his class is the complete balance he offers, an electric three-point scorer with high-level court awareness, sick ball-handling, and relentless defensive energy. He mixes up on the boards and drops some dazzling dimes. Whether it’s hitting a deep jumper, splitting a double team, or reading a defense before the pass is made, Simon delivers with poise beyond his years. Coaches can count on a player who’s skilled, selfless, and wired to win, bringing passion, grit, and IQ every time he steps between the lines.
Simon averaged 18 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and nearly 2 steals per game this past season. Stat sheet stuffer style. His shooting was his biggest improvement with expanded range and consistent rhythm, highlighted by a breakout 40-point performance that proved just how far he’s come. His offseason focus has locked in on help-side defense and court vision, both key skills he’s working to elevate as he evolves into a complete lead guard. What fuels Simon the most is pride in his defense, he loves disrupting opponents, getting into their heads, and sparking his team with energy plays. The growth he’s made this past year, especially as a leader and shotmaker, has made him one of British Columbia’s most exciting young prospects.
On the AAU circuit with BC Hoops U17, Simon is looking to turn heads and earn that first offer. He’s already locked in on the Bigfoot Hoops Classic in Las Vegas from July 10–13, where he plans to prove himself against elite competition. His goals are to gain recognition from college and prep coaches and show that his game translates on every stage. But what truly sets Simon apart is the little things like taking charges, dives for loose balls, encourages teammates, and never asks for credit. He’s all-in on the grind and embraces the blue-collar side of basketball with the same intensity as his scoring.
I assess that Simon is a complete guard with polished offensive tools, strong instincts, and an edge that every coach loves. His ability to shoot, create, and defend, paired with his high motor and unselfish approach, makes him a valuable piece for any program that values toughness and high-IQ play.
Simon has potential of becoming one of the most well-rounded 2027 guards in Western Canada. As he continues to grow physically and tighten his reads on both ends, expect his recruitment to pick up. With his mindset, skill set, and relentless work ethic, he’s just getting started, and he’s built for more. Stay tuned.
