Emmett is a tough, physical, and versatile force with the strength, size, and foot speed to defend every position on the floor. He’s got a smooth, quick-release three-point shot and can score from all three levels, but what sets him apart is his unselfish mindset and high-level decision-making. He’s a true connector, always looking to elevate his teammates before himself, even when he has the green light. Emmett thrives on defense, that's his calling card, especially when taking on the challenge of shutting down the best player on the opposing team. He’s wired to compete, loves doing the dirty work, and brings contagious energy that makes his presence known every second he’s on the floor.
His first varsity season was a battle of highs and lows, testing his resilience while playing in one of Wisconsin’s most competitive conferences. Through it all, he came out stronger, especially from the corners, where he knocked down over 50% of his threes. Now fully healthy, Emmett’s locked in this offseason on adding new weapons to his game, attacking more off the dribble, improving his pull-up jumper, and continuing to elevate his already fierce defensive edge. One of his proudest moments came from simply being thrown into the fire early, earning varsity minutes as a freshman, and learning how to respond when adversity struck. It helped shape him into a more complete, focused player.
Emmett now plays for Wisconsin PGC on the UAA Circuit, eager to make noise with his new squad. His main goals this summer are to build chemistry, embrace the challenge of elite competition, and test himself against top-tier players from all over the country. The UAA sessions and the Bill Hensley Run 'N Slam are circled on his calendar, but he’s excited for every battle ahead. This upcoming school season, he’s especially looking forward to joining forces with new teammates and chasing wins while continuing to be that relentless defensive anchor. What fires him up most is locking in against the other team’s top scorer, taking that matchup personally, and letting his effort do the talking. He handles pressure with poise, stays focused on what he can control, and leads with effort, hustle, and smart decision-making.
Off the court, Emmett enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He’s also stepping into a new challenge this fall with his first season of high school football, adding another level of toughness and competitive grit to an already loaded foundation.
I assess that Emmett’s all-around impact doesn’t rely on flash, it’s grounded in toughness, intelligence, and doing the little things that win games. His ability to defend multiple positions, shoot efficiently, and keep the ball moving makes him a coach’s dream. He raises the game of any team he’s on and adds real value on both ends.
As Emmett continues growing into his frame and evolving his offensive game, expect him to become one of the most complete two-way players in his class. He already plays with maturity beyond his age and shows the kind of leadership, work ethic, and humility that programs at the next level will be drawn to. Though he’s only just getting started, he’s already making noise. Stay tuned.
