Patrick is a true point guard in every sense of the word who takes full command of the floor and sets the tone the second the ball is tipped. With elite basketball IQ, fearless defense, and an unmatched ability to break down defenders, Patrick plays the game with poise, purpose, and showtime flair. He gets into the paint at will, weaves through traffic with tight ball control, and makes dazzling dimes that put teammates in prime position to score. But what separates him most is his toughness, the ability to score over bigger bodies, guard multiple positions, and battle on both ends with a chip on his shoulder. He’s the engine that keeps the team moving, the voice that leads, and the steady presence that delivers under pressure.
This season, Patrick averaged 10.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.6 deflections per game, consistently filling the stat sheet with activity and energy. His biggest improvement came in learning how to find his scoring windows while still orchestrating the offense and setting others up. This offseason, he’s locked in on elevating his off-the-dribble shooting, a key area he’s determined to master so defenders can’t sag or cheat. When things didn’t go his way earlier this year, from playing time to overall production, Patrick didn’t complain. He simply shifted his mindset, got back in the gym, and attacked every workout with relentless focus and intention. That internal switch flipped his development into another gear, and now he’s entering the AAU season with Triumph 17U UA Rise fully dialed in.
Patrick’s goals on the circuit are to win the UA Rise Championship, climb into the national rankings, and grab the attention of college coaches who value real leadership and tenacity at the point. With big-time stops on deck like Session 1 in Ohio and Session 2 in Atlanta, Patrick is ready to make his presence felt against elite competition. He’s also focused on helping lead Irving MacArthur back to the playoffs next season, fueling a hungry, hard-working group with his on-court command and vocal leadership. Nothing gets him more fired up than a tightly contested game, the crowd roaring, players locked in, and the stakes high. That’s when Patrick shines brightest while remaining calm, composed, and fully locked in.
College interest is already rolling in, with programs like Oklahoma Wesleyan, Texas A&M International, Troy, Saint Mary’s, Springfield College, Southern Utah, and the University of Dallas all paying attention, and more are bound to follow. His advice to every player grinding for recognition is to play your game. Don’t fold. Show them exactly who you are.
I assess that Patrick’s leadership, elite handle, defensive intensity, and high-IQ play style make him an immediate asset to any college backcourt. He can run a system, control tempo, and defend with grit while maintaining the composure of a seasoned veteran. His game translates cleanly to the next level, especially for programs that value two-way floor generals.
Expect Patrick to keep climbing. As he polishes his shot creation and continues building confidence in his scoring game, he’ll evolve into a dynamic, complete point guard with the ability to take over when needed. His ceiling rises with every rep, and his drive ensures he’ll never stop pushing toward that next level. Stay tuned.
