Jalen is a shifty speedster with strong ball-handling ability and loves to be a master facilitator. Jaden has a high IQ and great court vision which he uses to make sizzling passes. Jalen is a super efficient three-level scorer who brings the fire from deep or uses his speed to explode off the bounce - attacking the lane to create shots for himself or others. Jaden is unselfish and always looks for teammates first; however, he can hear it in his own right if needed. Jaden moves well without the ball so he is dangerous even coming off screens in the natural flow of the offense. He is an offensive gem.
This past AAU season Jaden averaged 10 points and 3.0 assists a game. The most motivating thing that happened last season that pushed Jaden to move forward was always being underlooked and doubted because of his size. Jaden uses that for everyday motivation to push harder and prove them wrong. Jaden's goals going into next season are to improve in every category from last year prove everyone wrong and make varsity.
Playing AAU for the Humble Gentz - Jaden's goals were to improve as a player and get a lot of exposure during the AAU season with a primary focus on improving his 1 on1 defense.
What fuels Jaden the most is a three or an on-ball steal that gets him going and even more locked in.
When facing adversity, Jaden thinks to himself and regathers himself when things don’t go his way. There is always a next play, and when that next play happens, Jaden makes sure it’s better than the last play.
Coaches will expect a leader from Jaden. He communicates on the court to his team no matter what, making sure everyone is on the same page. He is a level-headed player.
Jaden sees himself playing D1 basketball because of his work ethic and motivation. Jaden will do whatever it takes but would consider a lower division level of basketball like D2 or D3 just as long as he is playing the game he loves, it would be fine.
I assess that Jaden's fearless attitude playing with that chip on his shoulder makes him dangerous. Jaden's skill set can certainly translate to a next-level opportunity. Jaden's potential is high. It's going to be fun to watch this savvy young star as he lets that chip on his shoulder make everyone believe. Stay tuned.
