Eli is an explosive combo guard with a nasty crossover and real blow-by speed. He keeps defenders on their heels from the opening possession. Eli attacks downhill with confidence, mixes in a crafty change of pace, and finishes with athletic pop around the rim. When defenders try to sit on the drive, he calmly rises into a smooth rainmaker that looks effortless coming out of his hand. What separates Eli is how unpredictable he becomes once he gets going. He scores at all three levels, not just with speed but with feel. He knows how to get into defenders, play through contact, and stay patient near the rim instead of rushing shots. That patience has unlocked another level of his game, turning tough drives into good finishes or smart kickouts. His court vision continues to stand out, and he consistently finds teammates when the defense loads up on him.

The production continues to match the eye test. Last season, Eli averaged 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting a blistering 42 percent from deep. This year, the impact has jumped. He has emerged as a reliable scoring punch and momentum changer, especially in big moments. In game 4 at The Invite at Calvin University, Eli dropped 18 points to help Rockford secure a 55 -45 win over Unity Christian. One game later, he elevated even further, scoring 23 points in an 81-78 double-overtime thriller against Brother Rice, helping keep Rockford undefeated. When the game tightened, Eli answered with shot-making, pace, and poise.

Defensively, growth has been clear. Eli takes pride in that end, using quick hands, anticipation, and effort to disrupt guards and turn stops into offense. His biggest improvement from last season has come on the defensive side, where he now stays engaged, competes through possessions, and makes life difficult for opposing ball handlers. That two-way edge gives him real value beyond the scoring.

Even on the AAU side, the efficiency numbers gave a preview of what was coming. Being listed among the most efficient UAA 15U scorers showed just how effective Eli can be when the ball is in his hands. The AAU numbers tell the story, with Eli posting a 20.1 usage rate, 19.9 points, and 0.99 points per possession, proof that his scoring comes with real efficiency and control against top competition. That same efficiency is translating into the high school season, where his ability to score without forcing anything continues to shine.

Eli plays with a team-first mindset. He values being unselfish, making the right read, and doing whatever it takes to win. His goal is to compete for a state championship, and that hunger shows in how he approaches every game. Trash talk does not distract him. Instead, he stays locked in, focused, and steady.

Faith plays a role in how Eli handles the ups and downs. He stays grounded, trusting that God has a plan and keeping his emotions balanced no matter the moment. That mindset allows him to stay composed in pressure situations and continue making the right play. The best advice he carries with him is staying even keeled, not getting too high on success or too low when things do not go his way.

I assess that Eli brings speed, shot-making, and attacking pressure that can lift an offense. His ability to score at all three levels brings the great on the defensive end, and create for others gives a program a guard who can swing momentum and stretch defenses.

Moving forward, Eli is poised to keep rising as his patience, strength, and defensive impact continue to grow. Expect more confident finishes, continued efficiency from deep, and a guard who thrives in big moments while keeping the defense guessing every trip. Stay tuned for Eli to shine brighter and brighter as this young star is just scratching the surface of how good he can become.
