Butcher is a prolific and efficient three point sniper. A confident, knock down shooter and an electric slasher. His greatest strengths are handling the ball under pressure and knocking down threes anytime he chooses to. However, he is also a defensive gem. Whether it's making steals or taking charges, he has a tremendous impact on that side of the game.

This past season, he averaged 19 points, 4 assts, 2 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game. He said he didn’t get as much playing time as he had hoped for last season, and that motivated him to work even harder to improve for this upcoming season. Nothing fires him up more than snatching a steal, swatting a shot out of the air, ripping down a rebound and then immediately scoring. He can feel the momentum instantly shift.

He is calm, cool and collected on the court, and you simply won’t see him get rattled by trash talking, or if a few plays aren’t going his team’s way. When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “A player that will always give 100% on both offense and defense.”

He said he can see himself playing JUCO, D2 or D3. He said he knows he has alot to work on and he is going to absolutely put in the work! My assessment is that with his prolific high percentage shooting, and how he tenacious he is playing D, the ceiling for this young man is very high. I am very much looking forward to watching his journey unfold!
