Grant is a pure point guard who thrives at being the perfect facilitator. Grant would prefer to deliver the perfect pass to an open player or cutting teammate. However, Grant thrives at attacking the lane off the bounce. He uses his great court vision to make the perfect pass. Don't get it twisted, Grant can score when needed. The surprising part of Grant's game is his tenacity on the boards, he loves to mix it up.
The most motivating thing that will push Grant forward this year is not winning the state tournament last year. He knows this is his last chance. Grant's goals going into next season are to shoot more and not pass up open shots, have fewer turnovers, and win the state championship.
Grant's biggest focus this off-season was to improve his shooting.
The thing that fuels Grant the most on the court is his passion to improve every time he plays. Whether it’s locking down on Defense, hitting a big shot, or doing something small.
The way Grant handles adversity on the court Is to have a positive mind and remember to control what he can control. There’s always another play, so he can’t beat himself up over one small thing.
What sets Grant apart from most players is that he does not care about his stats. He wants to win and do whatever it takes to win. He is a pass-first type of person whereas other people just want to score. He is the ultimate glue guy.
Grant sees himself going D2 or NAIA and starting his first year. Grant also thinks Juco is a good fit because it allows him to refine his skills and gain valuable game experience. JUCO allows Grant to improve his game, and show his talent, and it helps to earn a scholarship to a higher division program.
I assess Grant's high energy impact and ability to fuel his team with good passing, strong on the boards, and clutch shooting when needed translates well to the college level. Grant is a fierce competitor on both ends of the court. Watching him work was quite fun as you see the fire and his will to win. He works extremely hard to make that happen, focusing on the little things and not just scoring. With a target in sight Grant and the other half of twinsanity(Garrett) are determined to make some noise one last time. Stay tuned.
