This past season, Derrick hit .352 across 71 at-bats, collecting 25 hits, 18 RBIs, 14 walks, and 1 home run. His OPS of .981 showcased just how productive he was at the plate. On the mound, his growth in confidence and consistency marked his biggest leap forward. Now suiting up with Pro Stock Baseball Club 17U for summer ball, Derrick has carried that momentum into elite-level competition, hitting .556 so far this summer against top-tier arms. His offseason goals include improving command, staying consistent in the batter’s box, and continuing to rise as a complete two-way player. On defense, he’s a first baseman with shortstop-style footwork, fluid around the bag, fundamentally sound, and able to stretch and scoop with ease.
