Talon is becoming someone his team can trust when the game speeds up, the pressure builds, and every possession starts to matter just a little more. Standing out as a big guard who can score from every level of the floor, he brings a mix of size, versatility, toughness, and basketball IQ that shows up in far more ways than just scoring. He can rain in shots from deep, attack the rim, create a smooth middy, switch between multiple positions on defense, and still be the first one willing to sacrifice his body by stepping in to take a charge. Those winning habits are what he believes separate him from everyone else, because while plenty of athletes can stuff the stat sheet, not everyone embraces the little things that change games and help teams win.

His first year of high school basketball became a season filled with growth from beginning to end, and every month seemed to bring another step forward. Averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds on the JV level before carrying that momentum into the P32 circuit, where he averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds, Talon continued proving that his game could translate against tougher competition while gaining confidence every time he stepped on the floor. One of the moments he will never forget came during his very first varsity game when he caught fire early and made 4 triples in the first half, giving everyone a glimpse of the offensive weapon he is becoming. As special as those moments were, the memories that mean the most to him have nothing to do with points or highlights because the friendships built with teammates, the laughs away from the court, and the bond created through the season are the moments he carries with him long after the final buzzer.

As his game continues to grow, the biggest improvement has come on the defensive end, where pride has replaced comfort. Talon has embraced becoming someone who can guard multiple positions without backing down from any matchup, and he has built a reputation for doing the gritty work by stepping in to take charges whenever the opportunity presents itself. Those plays rarely make the highlight reels, but they can completely change the momentum of a game, and he understands just how valuable they really are. That willingness to do whatever the moment requires says as much about his mentality as it does about his ability.

Adversity has also shaped the way he approaches the game. One lesson has stayed with him more than any other after his FOE team entered a tournament in Florida ranked number one in the country and expected to make a championship run. Instead of staying locked in before a semifinal game, the team spent the day at the beach, came in unprepared, and suffered a tough loss that nobody saw coming. That disappointment became one of the biggest learning moments of his basketball journey because it taught him that talent alone is never enough. Preparation, focus, and making sure everyone around him is mentally ready are responsibilities he now carries into every big game, refusing to take opportunities for granted ever again.

That same mindset fuels everything he is attacking this offseason. Talon is putting his energy into becoming faster, stronger, more explosive, and more athletic through speed work, agility training, strength development, and improving his vertical. Every workout is aimed at taking another step toward becoming the best version of himself that he knows is still ahead. His goals are to show up prepared for every game, do everything possible to help his team win, and continue earning opportunities as his career progresses.

The work behind the scenes is anything but ordinary. Every day begins with workouts at Birdville before heading straight into basketball training, followed by speed and agility sessions at Built4It. Even after all of that, his day often finishes with recovery in the hot tub and sauna or another shooting session because he refuses to let the day end without finding another way to improve. His personal challenge is to become one percent better every single day, knowing that those small improvements eventually turn into major growth. Driving all of that effort is a dream of playing basketball at the next level, with the hope of one day sharing that experience with his older brother, giving every workout an even deeper purpose.

When the new season begins, Talon believes fans are going to see something they haven't seen before as he starts playing above the rim with the added explosiveness he has worked so hard to build. Combined with his three-level scoring, defensive versatility, and growing confidence, that added athleticism has the chance to unlock another layer of his game and make him even tougher to contain.

Ask what a coach can expect every time Talon steps on the court, and his answer says everything about the way he approaches basketball. He wants to be trusted because of his basketball IQ and his commitment to making the right play every single possession. Whether that means scoring, defending, making the extra pass, taking a charge, or simply doing whatever gives his team the best chance to succeed, his focus stays on winning basketball instead of chasing individual attention.

I assess that Talon's combination of size, versatility, defensive toughness, and growing athletic ability makes him a savvy guard with a high ceiling. His willingness to embrace the hard, unselfish parts of the game while continuing to expand his offensive skill set gives him a foundation that coaches love to build around.
