Ben is a fierce Australian playmaker who brings energy, swagger, and an all-around arsenal to the court. He’s a relentless driver with a deep finishing bag, using footwork, body control, and strength to attack the lane and score through contact. With long strides and bounce, he’s a high-flyer in transition who turns defense into quick buckets. Ben thrives in punishing defenders attacking the lane with fierce aggression and intent. But he is anything but one dimensional with a smooth, efficient three-point rainmaker. His size makes him a tough cover from any level. He can guard multiple positions, crash the glass, and get into passing lanes, but his versatility truly separates him, capable of sliding into any role from the 1 to the 5. Add in a nonstop motor, strong stamina, and unshakable confidence, and you’ve got a unique talent with the flair to take over games and the poise to do the dirty work.
In his most recent season, Ben averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game while adjusting to a major life change after leaving Australia to chase his dreams in the U.S. His transition to American high school hoops has been his most impactful experience so far, forcing him to adapt quickly to a faster pace and elevated competition. He responded by locking in defensively and embracing a new challenge. His on-ball defense and full-court pressure became key weapons thanks to his improved stamina and feel for the game. This offseason, Ben is locked in on building a deadly midrange game and becoming an even stronger finisher, specifically, elevating to dunk through contact.
Playing with Indiana Game 16U, Ben has his eyes set on making noise at the GBL Finals in Grand Rapids. The team has put in the work, and now it’s time to show what they’re made of. For Ben, AAU season is about exposure and proving he’s one of Indiana’s top 2027 players. He’s hungry, humble, and focused. He’s not just looking to participate, he’s out to dominate. He’s already preparing to step into a leadership role next year at La Lumiere, ready to take charge and help lead the program with intensity and IQ.
What fuels Ben on the court is confidence. A strong warm-up flips the switch, and once he’s in rhythm, he’s hard to stop. His favorite advice reminds him never to take any of this for granted. Every game, every opportunity is the result of how far he’s come and how hard he’s worked. He stays locked in by tuning out the noise and trusting his preparation. Coaches can count on Ben to be coachable, accountable, and the hardest worker in the gym when no one is watching. Off the court, he values time with friends and family, giving his mind space to reset and stay sharp.
I assess that Ben’s combination of athleticism, scoring versatility, size, and defensive impact makes him an incredibly valuable asset on both ends of the floor. He’s a smooth, versatile player who can adjust to any system and thrive, especially in high-tempo environments where he can fly.
As Ben continues developing his midrange game and physical finishing, expect his scoring threat to skyrocket. With his competitive edge, humble mindset, and proven adaptability, he has all the tools to grow into a high-level two-way force and one of Indiana’s breakout stars this upcoming season. Stay tuned.
