Sam is a speedy, gritty stud who lives in attack mode and puts constant pressure on everything you try to do defensively. With a nasty first step and no hesitation, Sam gets downhill with purpose, gets all the way to the rim, and finishes through contact again and again. Once he gets into the lane, his crafty and creative scoring package takes over. He can score it inside, pull up for the middy, or make it rain from deep, making him a true three-level scorer who keeps defenses on edge every possession. He plays with fire, energy, and edge, delivering a monster stat sheet stuffer every night. The numbers do not lie.
What separates Sam even more is how complete his game really is. He attacks the glass like a forward, using size, instincts, and timing to become a magnet to the ball. He mixes it up inside, competes through contact, and consistently comes away with extra possessions. Defensively, the swagger shows up immediately. Sam disrupts offensive flow, guards multiple positions, jumps passing lanes, and applies pressure that forces mistakes. Add in his ability to drop sweet dimes when help collapses, and you have a two-way threat who impacts winning in every area of the game.
Sam is currently averaging 23.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1 block per game, making him the 2nd leading scorer in the state. That level of production speaks to consistency, toughness, and growth. One of the biggest improvements in his game has come from added strength. He now finishes with more success after contact, competes with bigger opponents, and stays involved in actions around screens, using his body to maintain position and control space. His focus moving forward is improving ball skills, allowing him to break defenders down off the bounce and create even more for himself and others.
What fuels Sam is seeing his team playing together and clicking as one. That collective rhythm pushes him to another gear. When facing adversity, he responds by working harder and turning up his aggression, using it as fuel to compete on every single possession. That mindset shows up in how he plays, how he defends, and how relentless he is from start to finish.
Sam currently holds an offer from Dominican University and has interest from Bluffton University, Albion College, Judson University, and others. With his size, versatility, scoring production, and two-way edge, his name belongs firmly on recruiting boards.
I assess that Sam’s combination of size, scoring ability, rebounding, and defensive versatility allows him to impact a college program immediately. He brings physical downhill pressure, competes on the boards, and disrupts opposing offenses, giving coaches a player who can fill multiple roles and thrive in high usage situations.
Moving forward, expect Sam to continue elevating his game as his ball skills expand. His work ethic, response to adversity, and consistent production point toward continued growth. He is poised to be a high-level wing who can score, defend, and compete every night, bringing energy and toughness that translate at the next level. Stay tuned.
