Explosive by nature and relentless by choice, Chandler brings a brand of basketball that hits fast and keeps coming. A true three-level scorer, he stretches defenses with confident shooting from deep, punishes gaps in the midrange, and attacks the rim with force and intent. His bounce jumps off the page with a 32-inch standing vertical and a 44-inch three-step pop that fuels finishes above traffic and second-chance plays on the glass. Add in a nonstop motor, rebounding hunger, and a hustle gear that never shuts off, and Chandler becomes a constant problem on both ends of the floor.
As a sophomore, Chandler averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting 33 percent from three, 56.4 percent inside the arc, and 70 percent at the line. So far this season, the jump is huge, averaging 24.5 points and 5 rebounds through two games, helping Parkersburg grab a statement win on Tuesday. The growth shows in how he scores now, confidently touching all three levels while also elevating his playmaking and keeping the ball moving with purpose.
That improvement did not happen by accident. Strength training and living in the gym twice a day reshaped his body and his confidence, giving him the balance and power to finish stronger and see the floor better. His biggest improvement has been the ability to score everywhere while delivering dimes at a higher level, reading help, and finding teammates without slowing the attack. This offseason, the focus stays locked on building high-level ball handling to tighten control and unlock even more pressure downhill.
Chandler’s edge elevates when rivalry lights come on. The matchup with South sits circled, a long-running battle played twice every year, and a trophy he is hungry to bring back after nearly nine seasons. Bigger picture goals stay front and center, pushing his team toward a state run and helping rewrite a program story that has been waiting for a new chapter. Every time he steps on the floor, the expectation is to score, rebound, and hustle every possession, very minute.
When facing adversity, he keeps his path clear by working, blocking out noise, and staying committed to the goal. The advice that sticks most is, " Play every game like it is the last". Off the court, Chandler is built the same way, spending time in the weight room and staying grounded with family. College basketball has been the dream since he first picked up the game, and the love for it shows in the daily grind and the way he competes.
I assess that Chandler is poised to be a high-energy guard who can immediately impact a college program with scoring versatility, rebounding toughness, and an attacking mindset. His ability to pressure defenses at multiple levels while crashing the boards adds real value, especially for teams that want pace, physicality, and guards who do more than just score.
Moving forward, continued growth in ball handling will open even more doors, allowing Chandler to control tempo and create better looks for himself and others. With his work ethic, athletic bounce, and hunger to change outcomes, expect a steady rise and a player who embraces big moments and responsibility as his role continues to expand. Stay tuned as a monster season is unfolding.
