Sam is a powerful, slow-paced guard who brings toughness, poise, and purpose every time he steps on the floor. Built like a forward but wired like a playmaker, Sam thrives inside with crafty footwork and physical finishes yet still delivers with a confident, consistent jumper. He’s a true three-level threat with a high basketball IQ, capable of picking apart defenses with his passing or rising up to knock down shots when it counts. Defensively, he’s a nightmare, able to guard all five positions with strength, discipline, and grit. He’s a relentless rebounder, a sneaky shot blocker, and a constant disruptor in passing lanes. His calm under pressure, quiet leadership, and willingness to embrace the hardest matchups separate him from the rest. He doesn’t just run the offense but runs the game.

This past season, Sam averaged 24.1 points, 13.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. The numbers don't lie, as it's clear he was in beast during this monster run. But his biggest improvements were his confidence and perimeter shooting, unlocking a new offense arsenal. After scoring his 1,000th career point this past season, Sam has kept his focus on evolving even further. His offseason goals are to elevate his handle, boost his athleticism, and round out every hole in his game. He’s playing with UTC Fire 17U and ready to showcase his full skillset in July at the Prep Hoops event in Indiana. He’s ready for the challenge of guarding opposing stars and thrives on silencing loud play and flashy antics by simply doing what he does best: producing.

Off the court, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family, balancing the grind with love and support. Basketball may run his life, but he knows the importance of staying connected to what fuels his fire. Sam’s attitude is rooted in relentless effort and accountability. As he puts it: "Why would I pass you the ball if you don’t work as hard as me?" That mentality drives him, and it's what sets him apart.

I assess that Sam’s combination of strength, size, and basketball IQ gives him the versatility to impact a college program immediately. He plays with composure, punishes mismatches, delivers on both ends and does it all without needing the spotlight. Coaches looking for a selfless leader who can post big numbers, defend every position, and lead by example won’t find many like him.

As his handle and explosiveness improve, Sam’s already dominant game will evolve into something even more complete. Expect a player who continues to work relentlessly, accepts every challenge, and leaves no doubt he belongs on the biggest stage. His future is as steady, strong, unshakable and built for greatness. Expect nothing less than another monster season. Stay tuned.
