Jeremiah is a lightning-quick floor general who thrives in an uptempo game. He loves turning defense into offense, pushing the pace, and finding his teammates in stride. With his unselfish nature, distributing and creating for others is where he shines most, yet he’s just as comfortable pulling up for his own shot when defenses sag off. His ball control, vision, and ability to keep the game moving make him a guard that constantly dictates rhythm, while his defensive intensity provides the energy that fuels everything else.
Jeremiah makes his presence known, averaging 14 points and 8 assists per game. That balance of scoring and playmaking highlights just how complete his approach to the game is. The biggest improvement in his development has come with his jump shot, especially from three-point range, giving him another weapon to complement his midrdy and slashing ability. Offseason work has been relentless, spending time in the weight room, improving his strength, touch around the rim, and explosiveness, all while elevating his perimeter game. He knows every rep is building toward a bigger impact.
Jeremiah points to his team’s six-game win streak as proof of what happens when everything comes together. That run showed him and his teammates what’s possible if they put in the work, and it lit a fire in him to lead even harder this season. His mentality is to play hard every possession, stay coachable, and give maximum effort. He embraces the role of playmaker and floor general, thriving when driving and kicking, creating for others, and keeping the offense humming. Yet what excites him most is on the defensive end, locking opponents up, bringing relentless pressure, and letting that energy carry over to the other side of the court.
His mindset is reinforced by the wisdom of Coach Timothy Strickland that said, “Your defense will generate your offense, if you will allow it.” Jeremiah takes that to heart, staying calm, focused, and ready to lead with poise. Even without an AAU season, his preparation hasn’t stopped, and he’s ready to showcase all that work when Cedar View takes the floor, determined to prove that he can lead his team to new heights.
Off the court, Jeremiah still finds himself tied closely to basketball, whether in workouts, pickup runs, or skill sessions. When he’s not in the gym, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Naomi, who also plays basketball at Alice Lloyd, and catching up with friends. Still, the love for the game is never far; basketball is where his energy, passion, and drive find their home.
I assess that Jeremiah’s ability to control pace, distribute, and lock down defensively makes him a true asset for any program. His balance of scoring and playmaking, combined with his relentless energy, means coaches can trust him to lead and elevate teammates. With his continued growth in strength and perimeter shooting, he is poised to be a guard who can impact both sides of the ball and fit easily into a competitive system.
Looking ahead, Jeremiah is positioned to take on bigger roles while showcasing his expanded skill set. His leadership qualities, commitment to defense, and offensive versatility point toward a player who will only keep rising. Expect him to continue evolving into a reliable, dynamic guard with the tools to succeed at the next level.
