Grant is a gritty competitor who mixes scoring ability with unselfish play, he brings energy to every possession. A natural shooting guard, he can light it up from outside yet never hesitates to make the extra pass when it means a better look for a teammate. What separates him is his relentless motor; he thrives on hustle plays, outworking opponents, and setting a tone that elevates the entire team. On defense, his fire and intensity make him a pest, while his IQ ensures he makes the right reads on both ends of the floor.
Last season was defined by resilience. After an ACL and meniscus tear sidelined him for more than a year, Grant returned with newfound athleticism, working tirelessly to regain his explosiveness. He came back dunking, flashing a vertical around 32 inches, and averaged 14 points per game in the four games he was able to play before summer setbacks. His offseason focus has been on tightening his handle in pressure, developing consistency in his shot, and becoming the steady leader his teammates can depend on. Though injuries have stolen crucial recruiting windows, they’ve also forged a player who refuses to back down from adversity.
For Grant, the most impactful part of this past season wasn’t numbers, but being back on the court, competing with his teammates again. Despite another setback with a sprained MCL during AAU, he views his experience as fuel, determined to make the most of his senior season. His mindset is to play physical, play tough, and prove who wants it more. That passion shows in every dive for a loose ball, every defensive stand, and every possession where effort makes the difference.
Coaches can expect him to show up every day with maximum intensity, the kind of “DOGG ” who fights for every inch and plays with heart that can’t be coached. Grant knows he’s been overlooked due to circumstances out of his control, but he believes that whichever program takes a chance on him is getting a steal. Off the court, life in Goliad, Texas, keeps him grounded. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and running small businesses, with a personal style and love for fashion that reflect his individuality.
I assess that Grant’s strengths, his shooting ability, defensive tenacity, and unmatched hustle, translate directly to the college level. His presence on the floor changes the energy of a team, giving programs a player who will not only compete but also inspire others to raise their effort. His mix of IQ, toughness, and team-first mentality makes him a valuable piece to any rotation.
Moving forward, expect Grant to continue growing into a two-way guard who makes plays on both ends. With his dedication to improving his ball-handling and shot consistency, he has the potential to be a trusted scorer and leader. Combine that with his resilience in the face of adversity, and he’s a player with the heart and determination to exceed expectations at the next level.
