Javen is a fierce competitor who brings electricity to the field every time the ball is snapped. He’s a versatile weapon with good footwork, high football IQ, and the kind of aggression that sets him apart from other athletes at his position. He thrives on identifying weaknesses before the snap and attacking without hesitation, making him unpredictable and hard to contain. Coaches know when Javen lines up, they’re getting a fiery athlete who plays with full throttle intensity and refuses to shy away from contact or pressure. His competitive nature and relentless drive separate him from the rest, and every time he takes the field, he delivers 100% effort no matter the score.
Last season, Javen had 394 passing yards with 3 touchdowns and only 1 interception, while adding 295 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns in just 4 games. This year, he opened Week 1 in explosive fashion, throwing for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns, while rushing for 103 yards and 2 more touchdowns for a jaw-dropping 12.8 yards per carry. On defense, he showed his versatility with an interception and 2 deflections. His biggest improvement since last year has been stronger chemistry with his teammates and greater physical strength, allowing him to play faster and tougher on both sides of the ball. What fuels him most is the sting of last year’s 0-9 record, which has driven him to attack the weight room and field with even greater urgency.
Javen’s mindset is what makes him special. He treats every snap like it could be his last, and even when facing adversity, he responds with poise, shaking off mistakes and locking in on the next play. He believes in his ability to compete at the D2 level but is also open to taking on the challenge of D1, knowing it will take relentless training and focus. He’s already locked in this season, determined not to let the mistakes of last year repeat themselves. A coach can expect him to bring consistent effort, aggression, and playmaking ability every time he steps onto the field, no matter the circumstances.
I assess that Javen has the makeup to be a program-changer. His ability to impact the game in multiple ways, whether through the air, on the ground, or on defense, gives coaches flexibility and options. His relentless motor, high IQ, and leadership qualities make him a weapon that raises the competitive edge of everyone around him.
Looking ahead, Javen has the potential to grow into a dominant all-around player who can excel at the next level. With continued development in strength, speed, and consistency, he’ll keep turning heads as a dynamic playmaker who thrives under pressure. Expect him to keep elevating performances like his explosive Week 1 showing, proving he’s a competitor built to rise higher each season. Stay tuned for a breakout season.
