Connor is a lethal three-point sniper with unlimited range and tries to position to be a scoring threat every time I catch the ball. When Connor is in the parking lot, he is a scoring threat. Connor has strong balling handle skills and the speed to score effectively off the bounce. Crore has a high IQ and court vision to deliver some sweet passes. Connor is a quick handed defender stealing those cookies with ease.
Connor's interests and hobbies outside of basketball include hanging out with friends, fishing, listening to music, video games, and playing guitar.
Playing AAU for the BeastUp Basketball with Coach Kirbie and Courtside United Basketball Club with Coach King McClure, Connor's focus areas are ball handling and mid-range shooting. His biggest improvement from last season is my overall basketball IQ and ability to drive the ball.
Connor's biggest basketball accomplishment is shooting 43% from 3-point range and setting a new school record with 90 made 3s in a season. Connor is looking forward to hopefully breaking that again this year! The biggest rivalry game that Connor is looking forward to playing this year is against All Saints. Connor missed a game-winner against them last year, so he looks forward to making up for that. Connor feels that they have a young team this year. Still, they are a dedicated and versatile group that could make a deep tournament run. . Connor is hopeful with handwork, team chemistry, and everyone staying healthy that is very possible.
What fires Connor up the most on the court are loud and energetic games. Connor loves the competitiveness of that atmosphere, and he feels like he plays better in those situations.
When facing adversity, Connor handles It by focusing on what’s ahead and not what has already happened. Also putting his adversity in God’s hands and trusting he will help and guide him through it.
The best piece of advice Connor has ever been given is to focus on what he can control and give God what he can’t. God has a plan for his life, even when he can’t see it.
As Connor begins thinking about the next chapter of his life and his desire to play basketball in College, he knows it will take a lot of hard work and sacrifice. Connor has had the goal to play in college since he was in elementary school, and so Connor would love the opportunity to do so. Connor feels that he has prepared and equipped himself for the journey. No matter what, Connor knows that as long as he continues to trust in God’s plan for his life, everything will work out. Connor feels like he fits the D2 and D3 levels. Connor believes that he could be successful at that level with his shooting ability and work ethic.
Connor has offers from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul, University of Wisconsin-Superior, and Dean College so far. Connor has visited the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Dallas Baptist University, Abilene Christian University, Tarleton State, and Hardin-Simmons University. Connor has e interest from several schools across the country, and will be visiting many more schools this year.
I assess that Connor has hit his stride through summer and fall, elevating his game to another level and everyone knows he can excel on the next level. If Connor has the monster season, it looks like he will; his stock will continue to rise. That shooting alone is impressive; add defense and passing, and Connor becomes a high commodity that can impact any team he lands on. So buckle up y'all for one last fun ride that Connor is on a mission to go out with guns blazing. Stay tuned.
