Preston steps on the floor with a steady confidence and a versatile game that touches every part of it. He’s a true leader, one who doesn’t force action but instead reads what’s in front of him and attacks with purpose. The rainmaker from deep is always a threat, stretching defenses, but that’s only the beginning. He handles, facilitates, rebounds, and finishes with control, making him a complete guard who can impact the game in multiple ways. His high IQ shows in how he sees the floor, trusting his instincts and his teammates while staying ready to score when the moment calls for it.

That balance between shooting and attacking is what makes Preston a real problem to deal with. Defenders have to respect his ability to bring the rain from deep, and once they close out hard, he’s already one step ahead. He breaks them down, gets into the paint, and creates good looks, whether that’s finishing himself or setting up a teammate. He doesn’t rush, doesn’t force, just lets the game unfold and takes what’s there.

His season at Avon, finishing 18-7, was built on consistency and trust. Efficiency stood out across the board with strong shooting percentages from the field, from three, and at the line. But what defined his year went beyond numbers. Coaches recognized the work he put in on the defensive end, and that showed every time he stepped on the floor. He understood that every minute mattered, and he made sure to bring effort and focus every time he checked in.

When the postseason came, everything was tight. Every possession carried weight, and the margin for error got smaller. Preston met that moment with a clear mindset: stay locked in, stay composed, and trust the work. He kept his emotions in check, stayed confident in himself and his team, and brought the kind of effort needed to keep advancing. That calm approach in high-pressure situations made a difference.

At Pitt Jam, everything came together during a strong run where he averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. It started early with him hitting contested shots, setting the tone, and building rhythm. From there, his teammates found him in space, and he made the most of it. He created opportunities in transition, found open teammates off the glass, and kept the offense flowing. It was a complete stretch that showed how much he can control a game when everything is clicking.

The Amherst game was another moment where he stepped up. High-intensity conference play, tight game, and when his number was called, he answered. Scouting gave him an edge, and he used it. Late in the game, he found the gaps, attacked where the defense was vulnerable, and delivered when it mattered with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. His teammates trusted him, and he came through.

The biggest improvement in his game has come on the defensive side. That’s where the work showed. One-on-one training focused on positioning, along with competing against college-level players, helped elevate his confidence and awareness. He’s not just scoring anymore; he’s locking in on both ends and making sure his impact is felt defensively, too.

Adversity came early with a foot injury that slowed him down before the season even got going. Not being able to run or elevate could’ve thrown everything off, but instead, he stayed locked mentally. He stayed positive, focused on what was ahead, and didn’t let it take him off course. That mindset carried into the season.

Looking ahead, Preston is focused on taking his game even further. Daily work, lifting, competing against high-level talent, and studying film are all part of his routine. He’s breaking down his own tape, finding areas to improve, and staying committed to getting better every day. Coaches can expect leadership, accountability, strong decision-making, and a player who brings effort every time out. He plays unselfish, stays under control, and competes with purpose.

He’s chasing the opportunity to play at the next level, and everything he’s doing is lined up with that goal. A complete guard who can contribute in multiple ways, bring stability to a team, and rise in big moments.

All of this starts with his foundation. Preston gives full glory to Jesus Christ, recognizing that none of this happens without Him. Through every moment, every test, every success, his faith stays at the center. That belief keeps him grounded, focused, and driven to keep going. I assess that Preston is a versatile guard with a strong all-around game. His ability to shoot from deep, handle the ball, and create for others makes him a consistent offensive threat.
