This season, Skylar averaged 6 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds per game, and she's only scratching the surface. Her biggest improvement was her offensive presence, gaining the confidence to become a true scoring threat. That belief lit a fire in her game, leading to standout moments like hitting five threes in a single game and, even more impressive, dropping 68 points over four games in Morristown. She’s only been playing basketball for two years, yet her production and impact tell a story of rapid growth and raw potential. This offseason, she’s focused on getting stronger and building her skill set from top to bottom, especially improving her basketball IQ and overall feel for the game.

Skylar plays AAU for the Tennessee Lakers and has already made noise this spring. She’s most excited for the upcoming Sunsphere event in Knoxville, another chance to show how far she’s come and how far she’s going. Her goals this travel season are centered on sharpening her court vision, enhancing her decision-making, and becoming the complete point guard her team needs. What fuels her most is hearing her teammates go wild when she’s on a run, she thrives off that shared passion and plays with heart for the team on her back.

Handling adversity comes naturally to Skylar. She keeps her head up, relies on the teammates she’s grown close with, and pushes through with purpose. She’s learned that basketball is more mental than physical and that staying composed always outweighs letting emotions take over. That mindset has grounded her game and made her an unshakable presence, even when things get tough. Her rise in just two years speaks loud and clear.
