Kobi is a floor general in every sense of the word: electric with the ball, fearless in the face of pressure, and relentless in his pursuit to lead. He’s a quick, shifty ball handler who breaks traps with ease, even when face-guarded or double-teamed. As a pass-first point guard who can score from anywhere on the court, Kobi has elite court vision and can control tempo while still being a major scoring threat. He gets teammates in the right spots, delivers dazzling dimes, and plays with poise that exceeds his age. Defensively, he’s a nightmare for opposing guards—disruptive, tenacious, and always active. Kobi doesn't just run the show—he is the show, delivering energy, leadership, and consistency every possession.
As a varsity starter at Independence High School, Kobi had multiple double-digit scoring games and played a key role in helping his team reach the state tournament. His biggest improvement this past year came on the defensive end, where improved lateral quickness and endurance turned him into a high-level on-ball defender. He’s dedicated his offseason to building muscle in the weight room to be able to guard all positions more effectively at the varsity level.
This AAU season with the Tennessee Tigers, Kobi’s focused on keeping a consistent 20-point, 10-assist average while locking in on defense, picking up 94 feet, limiting his matchup to under 10 points per game, and becoming the coach’s eyes on the floor. He’s looking forward to every single tournament, viewing each one as an opportunity to grow, lead, and show college coaches exactly what he’s made of. His goal next season is to support his teammates and lead INDY to another potential state championship run, all while continuing to prove that effort and skill matter more than height.
What fuels Kobi’s fire is the eye test, those who underestimate him because of his size. But once the ball tips, that perception changes fast. Kobi loves flipping the script, shutting down bigger players, and inspiring other kids who may feel overlooked.
When facing adversity, Kobi channels it, turning the intensity up, outworking the moment, and leading by example. He knows showing frustration gives the edge away, so he stays focused, composed, and committed to the next play. The best coaching advice he’s ever gotten is, “The only way they will know who you are is if you show it.” And every time he steps on the court, he lives that out.
I assess that Kobi is a commanding point guard with elite leadership, quickness, and a feel for the game. His ability to disrupt defensively, create under pressure, and make everyone around him better makes him a strong asset for any program looking for a tough, skilled floor leader.
As Kobi adds strength and continues torching defenders with his pace and IQ, expect him to rise even faster. His underdog mentality, paired with fierce effort and elite court vision, makes him a threat at every level, and a player college coaches will remember. This dynamic two-way star is playing with something to prove every game. Don't miss a minute. Stay tuned.
