Decari is already earning real varsity minutes, and that alone speaks volumes at his age. The young guard plays with poise beyond his years, controlling the game with a calm feel while still bringing edge on both ends. His middy is a true weapon, smooth and confident, and he shows a natural ability to create for teammates by seeing plays develop before they happen. Add in his defense and game control, and it is clear why his role continues to grow.
Right now, Decari is producing with purpose, averaging 8 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals, while impacting far more than the numbers suggest. He understands pace, knows when to attack, and knows when to settle things down. The ball does not stick. He moves it, cuts, defends, and stays involved in every possession, making winning plays that earn trust from coaches and teammates.
One of the biggest improvements in his game has been consistency with his jump shot, especially in the midrange, where he is comfortable pulling up and punishing defenders who play him too loosely. As he continues to improve his ability to read defenses, his playmaking ceiling rises even higher. The vision is already there. The next step is recognizing coverages quicker and making defenses pay sooner.
Physically, Decari knows getting stronger, faster, and more athletic is a major focus, and that growth will unlock even more of his game. With added strength will come better finishes, stronger defense, and more freedom to attack downhill. The foundation is solid, and the work is already being put in.
He plays the game the right way, competes to win, buys into team basketball, and produces on both ends of the floor. Matchups like those against Grace Christian Academy stand out as opportunities to keep testing himself, while his bigger-picture focus remains on gaining high-level experience, helping his team stay at the top of its division, and pushing toward being one of the best players in the state.
Decari plays with joy. He loves competing, loves the grind, and trusts the work he puts in. When facing adversity, he trusts his preparation and belief, knowing his game and living with the results of playing the right way. That mindset shows in how steady he stays, even in bigger moments.
Off the court, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and unwinding with video games, keeping balance while continuing to chase growth. While he does not hold offers yet, the goal is to play at the next level for a program that believes in him, and his early varsity impact shows he is moving in that direction.
I assess that Decari brings game control, playmaking feel, and defensive effort that already translate at the varsity level. His ability to score from the midrange, set up teammates, and stay engaged on both ends makes him a valuable piece with real long-term upside.
Moving forward, as Decari adds strength and sharpens his reads, his influence on the game will continue to expand. With his mindset, skill base, and early production against older competition, his ceiling remains sky-high and his potential points toward sustained growth and bigger responsibilities ahead. Stay tuned.
