6’6, 175lbs, Class of 2027

Broken Arrow HS, OK*

Gene is a long, electric playmaker who’s rewriting what a point guard can be. At 6’6 with serious bounce, strong handles, and smooth, fierce athleticism, he’s a nightmare matchup that breaks down defenses in countless ways. He’s a pure three-level scorer with beautiful touch, raining threes, pulling up off the bounce, or finishing with authority at the rim. When he explodes into the lane, defenders are left in the dust. When he slows it down, he carves up the floor with vision and craft. He brings a complete offensive arsenal and makes the game look effortless. On the other end, Gene is active, alert, and aggressive, jumping passing lanes, switching across positions, and using his length to frustrate opposing scorers. He's not just athletic, but instinctive, smooth, and instinctive with every movement. Coaches can expect a player who brings high-level creation, elite potential, and fierce energy every time he steps on the floor.

Gene sees the game like a true floor general. His all-around ability to score and pass makes him the engine of his team, but it’s his focus on leadership and physicality that’s fueling his offseason grind. He’s worked on staying locked in for the full 32 minutes, being physical, leading with his voice, and defining his identity as a go-to scorer in clutch situations. When facing adversity, he plays with poise, confidence, and a deep belief in his preparation. “Great players make others great”—that’s the mindset he carries, and it shows in the way he sets up his teammates and impacts winning plays.

He plays with Southern Assault Texoma on the AAU circuit and continues to build serious buzz nationally. After turning heads at the Midwest Showcase, where he looked flat-out dominant all weekend, the buzz is turning into interest. Schools already reaching out include Furman, Northern Iowa, Evansville, Oral Roberts, Northern Illinois, Bradley, Weber State, FGCU, Wofford, Iona, Drake, and Stephen F. Austin. With high-level size and feel for the game, he’s been labeled as one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2027 class, and he’s just getting started.

Off the court, Gene enjoys video games and keeps a cool, composed personality that mirrors his game. But when the lights come on, it’s game time, and he flips the switch into a different gear. His goals are to keep dominating close games, gain offers, and keep evolving into the kind of leader every great team needs. And with the work he’s putting in and the tools he brings to the table, there’s no ceiling on what he can become.

Gene’s rare mix of size, skill, and playmaking instinct makes him an elite next-level prospect. He’s a true offensive weapon, able to run an offense, light up a scoreboard, and change a game with his defense. Programs that value versatility, IQ, and upside should have him locked in.

Expect Gene to become one of the most sought-after guards in the country. His scoring ability, vision, and defensive impact at his size make him special. As he continues to add strength and elevate his game late in tight battles, he’ll evolve into a centerpiece guard that can carry a team deep into March and beyond. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
