Luke is a tough, gritty wing with a fierce blend of size, skill, and swagger. He brings energy and hustle to every game. He is a versatile three-level scoring threat; he has a beautiful touch from deep, but his punishing middy and ability to rise and finish through traffic make him a constant nightmare to defend. His footwork, instincts, and soft touch allow him to get off tough looks when it matters most. He’s relentless on the glass, bringing a physical presence as a rebounder and a sneaky shot blocker from the weak side. Defensively, he brings a strong motor and never backs down from big matchups, but he thrives in clutch situations and feeds off momentum swings, always ready to step up when the game is on the line.
Luke averaged 13.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game this past season, proving he’s more than just a scorer but a workhorse who dominates the hustle game. After being sidelined for nearly two months with a knee injury, he came back smarter, stronger, and more determined. The time away gave him a fresh perspective and tougher edge, and when he returned, he elevated his scoring and shot-making, especially in 1-on-1 situations. This offseason, Luke is locked in on tightening his handles and improving his quickness to become even more effective as a creator. While he’s confident in his jumper, he remains hungry to grow as a shooter and playmaker. His biggest motivator is the moments when teammates dive for loose balls or hit momentum-shifting shots, that competitive fire ignites everything he does.
He just wrapped a championship run with Texas Impact 4:13 on the UAA circuit, helping his squad win the UAA title in Chicago. Throughout the season, Luke’s versatility was on full display, handling the ball in transition, making smart reads off screens, and delivering perfect passes in stride to teammates. His size and tight handles give him combo-guard potential, allowing him to rebound and push the pace like a floor general. Now locked in for his senior year, Luke is focused on pursuing a state title with Marcus High School, where the culture is rich, the expectations are high, and the brotherhood runs deep.
Off the court, Luke takes his recovery and strength work seriously to stay in peak condition. When he’s not in the gym, he enjoys time with friends and family. When facing adversity, Luke trusts his work and his teammates and blocks out the noise. The best advice he’s ever been given is, "Be yourself and play your game, because staying true to who you are is the only way to rise above the rest."
Luke recently picked up an offer from Southern Illinois University and earned 5-6A First Team All-District honors. With his dynamic skill set, team-first approach, and hunger to win, Luke Susko is a name college programs need to remember. The best is yet to come.
I assess that Luke brings a mix of strength, IQ, and tenacity that can instantly elevate a college program. His rebounding from the wing, scoring efficiency at all three levels, and instinctual defense make him a true impact player on both ends. Coaches can count on him to lead with toughness, make the right read, and deliver in pressure moments.
Expect Luke to continue evolving into a complete, game-changing prospect. As his ball-handling tightens and his quickness improves, he’ll become even harder to contain. With a championship mentality, elite work ethic, and unselfish mindset, Luke is poised to turn heads at the next level and leave a legacy built on toughness, skill, and heart. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead. The championship swagger and winning mindset drive him, and he is determined to live next season with guns blazing and purpose, with fire, pushing himself and his team to a deep playoff run.
