Chris is a sharp-shooting, high-effort point guard who plays the game with discipline, passion, and an unshakable belief in doing things the right way. Known for his shooting touch and off-ball movement, Chris thrives as a 3-and-D playmaker who brings relentless energy and total buy-in every time he steps on the court. Whether he's coming off a screen and raining a three or picking up full-court man defense without hesitation, Chris sets the tone for his squad with effort, communication, and high basketball IQ. He plays with control and confidence, never forcing the action, and lets the game flow through smart decisions and strong fundamentals.
This past season, Chris averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game while shooting a blistering 50% from beyond the arc at the JV level. His growth into a true point guard has been his biggest improvement, improving his handling, passing vision, and understanding of the game while learning how to create plays and run an offense. His shooting earned him the green light, with plays drawn up for him regularly, and his defense stood out just as much. He picked up full court in most games, disrupting rhythm and setting the example his team could follow. This summer, he nearly reached his AAU goal of 55% from three, hitting clutch shots in key matchups—including a standout performance with seven three-pointers, 23 points, 8 boards, and 6 assists against Pro Skills at The Hoop Group Summer Finale.
Now stepping into a varsity role, Chris is prepared for the next level of physicality and pace. He's earned the spot through work, consistency, and a commitment to growth. His focus this season is on continuing to develop his handle and becoming more of a facilitator, adding more playmaking to his already dangerous shooting profile. Coaches can expect a player who gives 110% effort, talking on defense, sprinting the floor, executing plays correctly, and taking pride in every possession. He thrives when the team is locked in, taking charges, diving on the floor, and battling for stops.
Chris stays composed through adversity, letting the game come to him instead of rushing or pressing under pressure. He credits his ability to stay grounded and focused to his faith in Jesus Christ, whom he proudly recognizes as his Lord and Savior. Off the court, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping his priorities clear and his heart in the right place.
I assess that Chris is a lights-out shooter and a disciplined team-first point guard who brings effort and consistency every night. His ability to defend, move without the ball, and hit from deep makes him a valuable weapon in any system, and his work ethic will continue to raise his ceiling.
As he steps into a varsity role, expect Chris to prove he belongs. With continued growth in ball handling and playmaking, he’s on pace to develop into a reliable, multi-dimensional backcourt presence that makes winning plays and impacts the game without needing the spotlight.
