Cy is a fearless, confident shot-maker with the mindset of a rising leader and the skill set of a future breakout scorer. He is a true competitor who brings more than just buckets, Cy mixes in ball-handling, playmaking, and defensive hustle with a steady outside touch that makes him a consistent threat. Whether he’s spotting up, navigating pressure, or making the extra pass, Cy is a player who plays with heart, purpose, and a team-first mentality. While he’s naturally wired to score, he takes pride in being a complete guard, willing to dig in for steals, rebound with toughness, and keep his squad moving in the right direction. There’s something quietly fiery about the way he plays, and that edge could soon set him apart.
This past season, Cy averaged 10–12 points per game while adding 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 2 rebounds, a stat line showing his balance as both a scorer and all-around impact. His biggest impeachment was in his confidence getting to the rim and his overall decision-making. His “bag” has expanded,, he’s more creative attacking off the bounce and stronger at reading the floor in pressure situations. He’s also locked in on improving his left-hand attack, explosiveness, and adding more creativity to his offensive game. For the next AAU season, he’s playing with the Cornersville Ballers and determined
to step into a leading role. His goal is to get noticed not just as an individual but for what he brings to a team: passion to win on any stage, including major circuits he’s got circled on the calendar.
The most defining moment of last season wasn’t a win, it was a loss. Dropping games, they should’ve taken stuck with him. Instead of sulking, Cy took it personally and made a decision to grow from it. He now approaches adversity with maturity, adjusting his game on the fly, keeping his composure, and finding solutions instead of excuses. That self-awareness and his fiery determination could fuel a breakout in the near future. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "Don’t let anything or anyone get in your head, and never let up."
Off the court, Cy stays busy as a multi-sport athlete who also loves to hunt, fish, and hang with friends. Still, even with all that, you’ll often catch him back in the gym putting in 2–3 extra hours of work. Whether it’s football season or summer fishing trips, basketball is always in the back of his mind, and every rep counts.
Cy is a dynamic young guard with natural shooting instincts, emerging confidence, and a chip on his shoulder that fuels his grind. His ability to stretch the floor, play with energy on both ends and bring value as a combo guard makes him a player to watch in the 2029 class. With his steady work ethic and growing IQ, he has all the tools to become a true weapon for a high school program and a potential asset to the college level down the road.
Cy is evolving. His mindset, competitive fire, and growing skill set put him in position to take a major impact over the next few seasons. If he continues to build strength, expand his game to both sides of the floor, and lead with confidence, he will become a high-impact playmaker at the next level. The potential is there, and the hunger is real. With fire in his eyes and the determination to make a statement this upcoming season, stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
