Three years of starting on both sides of the ball at the varsity level have helped everything slow down around him, allowing him to play loose, trust what he sees, and turn opportunities into game-changing moments.

That comfort has been evident through the opening stretch of the season, where Zeke has collected 10 rcatchs for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding a punt return score, 148 return yards, and 334 all-purpose yards. His impact reaches the other side of the football as well, where he has recorded 10 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. Those numbers show just how versatile his game can be, but Zeke believes experience has been one of the biggest reasons everything is clicking because he no longer feels like the action around him is moving too quickly.

His ability to contribute in so many different roles comes from an athletic background that extends beyond football. Zeke believes being a multi-sport athlete has helped build the movement, instincts, and competitive nature that travel with him anywhere coaches decide to line him up. He doesn't care whether his assignment comes on offense, defense, or special teams because his mindset remains focused on finding a way to make a big play when his team needs one. That approach gives his coaches plenty of options while allowing his natural speed and playmaking ability to show up throughout a game.

Route running has taken one of the biggest improvements in Zeke’s game after an offseason spent attacking the smaller details of playing receiver. He worked throughout the summer on tempo, releases, and sharper breaks, putting extra attention into creating separation and finding ways to gain more yards once the catch was secured. That work has given his routes another gear because his speed is no longer his only weapon when trying to shake a defender. Zeke can change his pace, attack leverage, and use cleaner movement to create room before letting his explosiveness take over with the football in his hands.

The ability to strike for six has already earned Zeke a place in his school’s record book. Last season, he broke the program record for receiving touchdowns with 9 while also setting another mark with an 87-yard scoring catch. Those achievements gave him proof that his approach was paying off, but they also raised the ceiling on what he wants to accomplish before his high school career is finished. Zeke now has his sights set on taking down the remaining receiving records, and he believes the connection he shares with quarterback Blake Mathieu can help make that goal possible.

He loves competing, and that edge shows through a style built around speed, movement, and the confidence to believe he can deliver regardless of where his assignment begins.

Individual records remain firmly in Zeke’s sights, but his biggest goals stretch beyond his own numbers. He wants Otsego to reach the playoffs and turn that opportunity into a deep postseason run, making every catch, tackle, return and defensive play part of something larger. He plans to arrive ready, understand his responsibility, and attack whatever job he is given because that mindset has become part of his identity. Being overlooked helped light the fire, experience taught him how to control the game around him, and countless hours of work have given him more tools to unleash once the whistle blows.
