Ahshua’s game is built on movement, precision, and relentless effort. The 6’5” off-guard excels in motion, finding his spots with surgical cuts, pin-down actions, and pick-and-pop scenarios. His ability to shoot off balance or under duress makes him a nightmare for defenses. Add to that his impressive size, which he uses to elevate over smaller defenders and clean up on the boards, and it’s clear Ahshua is more than just a shooter—he’s a complete competitor.

This season, he averages 12.5 points and 6 rebounds per game for the 5th-ranked team in Oregon’s 6A division. His performance at the Les Schwab Invitational showcased his sniper-level shooting, hitting 57% from three and maintaining a true shooting percentage of 72.12% over four games. He’s making the most of every opportunity in limited minutes, including an 18-point outing that earned him Player of the Game honors. Last year, he averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds and upped those numbers to 19 points and 7 rebounds in AAU play.

For Ahshua, stepping up in the biggest moments fires him up the most. “Making the right read in a close game and making great plays against high-level competition” is what drives him. His focus remains locked on winning a championship, especially since his school has never claimed the title. The idea of making history fuels his determination.

Ahshua doesn’t shy away from challenges. “If I’m not shooting well, I go get more shots up,” he says. Adversity is a natural part of the grind, and he handles it by embracing the process, keeping a long-term view, and putting in the extra work. Seasons are full of ups and downs, but his unwavering focus on preparation ensures he’s ready to rise above. The best advice he’s received is simple yet powerful: “Control what you can control.” It’s not about minutes played or shots taken but about owning your preparation, process, and personal decisions. It’s advice he applies to every aspect of his life, both on and off the court.

Ahshua is looking forward to two matchups on the calendar: Barlow, the top-ranked team in the state, and Central Catholic, the defending champions. These games will be a chance for his team to prove they belong at the top and for him to shine on a big stage. “The whole state will be watching,” he says.

Ahshua is fully committed to doing what it takes to play at the next level. He’s confident his off-ball game and elite shooting make him a fit for any program, from DIII to DI. Ahshua currently has an offer from a local DIII school and interest from programs across all levels.

Ahshua’s combination of size, shooting ability, and relentless work ethic makes him a player to watch. Whether he’s creating space with violent cuts, rising over defenders, or competing in a game of cards off the court, his competitive spirit shines through. With his focus on defense, rebounding, and efficiency, he’s crafting a well-rounded game that ensures he’ll be a key contributor wherever he goes next.
